Chapter 2 - Never Enough

Selena's POV
Typical morning! I got up, went on the bathroom and took a bath. I wore my black undershirt, my white jeans and my adidas shoes. I also took my checkered black and red jacket, took my gold bracelet and sunglasses. I arranged my bag getting ready for school. I heard the doorbell rang so I guess that's Justin. I quickly went downstairs and greeted my mom. And my dad, he's nowhere to be found. I guess he's busy. What a busy man.

I ate my breakfast and bid my mom goodbye. Justin opened the passenger seat for me and thanked him. He's such a gentleman. The ride was silent. "Hey." I started. "Yeah Sel?" He asked. "Why so quiet?" "I... Uh..." "Don't even try to find a hole Justin." "I was just... Jealous." Jealous? "Jealous? Why?" "Because you have a family." "Huh? I don't get it." Oh. He doesn't have one. I'm so stupid. I'm smart why didn't I got what he meant. "Oh. Sorry I didn't mean to-" "No. It's fine Sel. I'm just uncomfortable about it." "Don't worry I won't ask anymore." He just smiled then we reached our school.

He opened the car door for me and I mouthed 'Thank You' to him. We walked through the corridors and I went to my locker to get my book for our first class. I told Justin we'll meet up later and he nodded. "Selena!" A girl shouted. I turn around and saw Taylor. "Oh. Hi Taylor. Where's Eleanor and the others?" I asked. "Busy? Or I guess they're in their class." "Oh." "By the way we have the same class so... Can we go in the class together?" "Yeah sure Tay. Why not?" She nodded and went on our first class together.

When we got inside, I saw the girls Danielle, Perrie, Kendall and Eleanor talking to each other. "Hey Sel." Eleanor said acknowledging my presence. "Hi there girls." I replied. "Would you mind seating with us?" Perrie asked. "I... Uh... Well if it's okay with Taylor?" I asked. "Oh sure Sel. I'll be fine." Taylor replied. "Okay. So I guess I'll seat with you guys." "Yey!" They said in unison.

"So... Sel I guess... This is just a reminder or warning should I say. But... Stay away from Taylor. She's making friends with someone when she needed them." Danielle told me. "Well, I guess Taylor was a nice... Friend." I told them. "Nice at first. Sel... Look she's like... She's a heartbreaker. Everyone knew the real her that's why you're her only friend. She knows that we're faking her. We tried to be nice but no use. She broke Harry's heart before. She's Harry's first love. And, she kept breaking relationships by kissing boys that are in a relationship. She's a relationship breaker Sel. Just a warning for you. We know she wants something from you." Kendall said. Well, I know they're a good friends but how could they say it to Taylor. I mean Taylor's a nice girl. But they're my friends. I know they're just saying it for my best. "Okay. I'll never forget your warning guys. Thanks." They nodded and our teacher came and start teaching.

Niall's POV
"Niall I told you. We've been telling you not to fall in love with that witch." Liam said. "How many times do I have to tell you all not to call her a witch." I said. Me, Liam, Zayn, Harry and Louis skipped class except Justin. He doesn't want skipping class. We kept arguing about me having feelings for Taylor. They kept saying she's a witch and a total bitch. "If only Justin was here." I told them. "You want Justin 'cause you don't have a knight and shining armor? We kept telling you Niall. Taylor is not worth it for you." Harry said. "No! She's beautiful. She's kind." I said in defeat. "Kind?! Really? She almost break Perrie's heart. Remember she kissed me then Perrie saw us then she thought I cheated? God. If Perrie didn't let me explain, right now I'm in my room crying of why did I let her leave." Zayn stated. "Ugh. Zayn, past is past." "But she still did it. You're too good to be with a girl like her." "Yeah. She's a witch. She wanna get the boy she like even though they're in a relationship." Louis said. "Whatever Louis. Ugh. I'm outta here."

I walked through the corridor to go back to our class when the bell rang. Guess I should go to our next class. I went in the canteen and saw Justin seating with Selena. I went through their table and waved at them. "Hi guys." I started. "Hi Niall." They said in unison. "You should be eating with the lads." Justin said. "Not in the mood?" I stated more of like a question. "Argument again?" "Yeah." "Oh I think I know what's the argument all about." "Uh... Guys I don't know what you're talking about." Selena interrupt. Oh gosh I forgot about Selena. She's beside Justin. "Sorry Sel. Didn't saw you there." "It's okay Niall. By the way what argument is it all about? Mind if I ask?" "Uh... Yeah sure. It's about Taylor." "Oh. What about her?" "Well I like her but the lads said I'm too good for her. They're like letting me far from her." "Oh. Just like the girls." She said more of like whispering it to herself. "What? What did the girls do?" "I... Uh... They warned me to stay away from Taylor. Because they told me Taylor's been kind when she need something to a person." "They told you that?" "Well yeah. But they're my friends. I know they're telling me that for my own good. Because you know, I'm just new in here. By the way why girls kept glaring at me like they're killing me in their minds?" I laughed at her. "Well because you're with us? 'Cause they kept saying me and my friends are hot. I don't know what infection came to them. They made us popular." "Oh. That's why they're glaring at us." "By the way Niall, Selena, I gotta go for my next class. See you later guys." Justin said. "Yeah sure. See 'ya." Selena said and I just waved at him.

"So we have the same class." "Yeah." Selena replied. "Come on. We should go either. I don't wanna be late." "Yeah. Me too." We went to our next class and sat next to each other. Our teacher taught us blah blah blah. I'm not paying attention. Even though I'm a bit smart but, studying isn't my thing. Our bell rang and me and Selena bid goodbye to each other then Justin took her home. Having a best friend like her makes me feel better. I'm happy to be with her. But that doesn't mean that I have feelings for her. The lads' warning are never enough. Their warnings wouldn't stop me from loving Taylor. Their reminders are never enough.
