Chapter 4 - Little Black Dress

Niall's POV
     I dressed in formal then walked downstairs. "Oh. My. Gosh! Son you look great." My mom said. "Thanks mom." "You have a date?" "No! It's just a formal party at Liam's house." "Oh. I thought you have a date." "Actually I have but... It's just a friendly date." "You like her?" "No. She's just a good friend of mine. You know that I liked Taylor right?" "Taylor. Yeah. I know. But you've been liking her for so many years and she didn't... Ugh. Whatever. Just forget it." "Uh... Okay. By the way mom I have to go. I'll pick my friend up." "Okay. Make sure you'll be back here in midnight." "Yeah. I will mom." "Bye son. Take care and enjoy." "Bye mom. Take care too."

The sweetest mom in the world. By the way, I quickly get my keys and started the engine. I drove into Selena's house and well, it's quite big. I mean it's like a mansion. They're... Rich. I parked my car in front of their house and rang the doorbell. An aged woman came and opened the door for me. She looked like Selena. I bet she's her mother. "Good evening. I bet you're Selena's friend." She stated. "Uh... Yeah. I'm Niall Horan." I said and stretched my hand. "I'm Mandy Gomez. But you can call me Aunt Mandy." (Just made her Gomez there. She's a Gomez before so... Hehe.)  She said shaking my hand into hers. She pulled her hands away. "So come on. Get inside." She offered. I nodded and went inside the living room. The truth is... Their house is really big.

     "Selena love! Niall is here!" Aunt Mandy said shouting upstairs. "Coming mom!" A girl said and I bet it's Selena. "Okay just wait her here. Do you want so refreshments?" She asked. Wow. She's really kind. Just like Selena. "No thanks Aunt Mandy. I'm fine." "Okay. I'll just go in the kitchen." "Okay." She went in the kitchen and smelled nice food. After few minutes. Selena came down and I was really shocked. I mean, wow. She's gorgeous and every boy would fall in love with her. Except me of course. I'm in love with Taylor.

     "Wow. You look beautiful Selena." I said and she blushed a little. "Thanks Niall. You don't look bad yourself." "Thanks." "Mom! We'll go now." Selena said shouting through the kitchen. "Wait!" Her mother replied. Aunt Mandy went in the living room and was shocked of her daughter. "My gosh Selena you look stunning. That little black dress looks perfect on you." She said still admiring her daughter. "Thanks mom. We need to go now. We're gonna be late." "Okay love. Niall, make sure Selena's here before midnight." Aunt Mandy said. "Yeah I will Aunt Mandy." "Okay. Good. Take care you two! Be careful and enjoy!" "Yes mom. We will." Selena replied and kissed her mom.

     We went outside their house and opened the car door for her. She thanked me then I went inside the car and started the engine. I started driving and she was just leaning on the car door admiring the view. After few minutes, we reached Liam's house and saw how formal the party is. Outside the house was full of guards. I thought of what was happening here? We went through the gate when one of the guards blocked our way. "Where are you going sir?" He asked. "I'm Niall Horan and Liam Payne invited me and Selena Gomez to attend this formal party." I said. He looked through his notebook and I bet he's trying to find my name. "Okay. You kay go inside sir. Sorry for blocking you and the lady." He said. "That's okay. You're a new guard aren't you?" "Yeah. I am." I nod then went inside Liam's house with Selena.

     "Wow. What kind of party is this?" Selena asked. "I don't know Sel. Maybe there's an important announcement." I replied and she nodded. "Okay so everyone ladies and gentlemen, may I present you the Payne family and their announcement." A guy said in the microphone. Liam and his whole family walked downstairs while people are cheering and clapping for them. Then, Mr. Payne handed the microphone and everyone felt in silence.

Selena's POV
     I never knew Liam is a rich guy. Wow. Perfect family. "Niall, who's the guy that's handling the microphone?" I whispered. "That's Mr. Payne, Liam's father." He whispered back. "Oh." "So... Ladies and gentlemen, I'm very proud to announce you, the new CEO of the Payne company, my son, Liam Payne!" He said and everyone cheered and clapped for him. Just then I spotted Danielle near the stage, cheering and clapping for Liam. Liam spotted us and waved. "Thanks for all of you. I'm very honored to be the new CEO of my dad's company. And thanks for coming to our party." Liam said. Then Mr. Payne get a wine and handed the microphone. "For my son becoming the new CEO. For Liam!" He said. "For Liam! Cheers." We all said and drank the wine.

     Just then, Liam went through Danielle and kissed her. How sweet. They walk towards our direction and hugged us. "Congratulations Liam." I said still hugging him. "Thanks Sel." He replied. "Hey there." Mr. Payne greeted then his eyes went on me. "Selena?" He asked. He knew me? But I don't knew him. "Uh... Hi. That's me." I replied awkwardly. "Selena! Oh my. You're a teen now." "How did you know me sir?" "Don't call me sir. Just call me Uncle Geoff." Geoff? Wait... "U- Uncle Geoff?" "Ahh. You remembered me. I'm your father's friend. I'm also his business partner. And, I recognized you because I'm the one who gave you that dress. But since you were young you can't wear it." "Oh. That's why. I missed you so much." I said hugging him. He's my dad's good friend and I saw him since I was young. "I missed you too Selena. That little black dress looks perfect on you. By the way, I need to entertain other guests. So enjoy yourselves." "Yes we will Uncle Geoff."

     He disappeared and Liam looked at me in a shocked face. "Small world isn't it Liam?" I said playfully. "Yeah. I can't believe you knew my father." "Me too. I can't believe you're his son. By the way where's the others?" "Maybe enjoying themselves upstairs." "Oh." "By the way you guys, you can go upstairs. Here is boring." "Okay. But is Justin there?" "Umm... No Sel. He doesn't want attending parties. He preferred studying." "Oh. Okay."

Justin's POV
Here I am. All alone in this lonely house. I guess I'll just study here. I'm thinking of... Is Selena enjoying the party? Wait. Why am I thinking about her. Ugh. Just study here Justin. I was staring on my phone if I should text her or not. Maybe she's enjoying and you're distracting her. But I wanna know how is she. But I guess she's okay. She's with Niall. You know Niall would never do anything bad to her. Just study here Justin! Concentrate.

Then, I heard my phone. Who messaged me? Oh, maybe Selena texted me. I quickly grab my phone and looked who messaged me. Taylor. What does she want? I opened the message and read it. There it says:

From: Taylor Swift
Hey Justin. Are you busy? Mind if I come to your house? I heard you didn't went on Liam's party. Are you okay?

I quickly replied:
To: Taylor Swift
I'm busy. Don't come to my house because I don't need anyone. Yes, I didn't come to Liam's party because I don't like parties. I'm fine. And lastly, I told you many times to stop texting me. That's all and I don't need a reply.

I pressed send and bring my phone back to my desk. I told her to stop texting me. Then she kept telling me she love me. But I also told her many times that I don't have feelings for her but she kept pushing. Is she crazy? Ugh. I don't want her to hurt my feelings. All she did was to break a man's heart.

I went downstairs and cooked my dinner. Then, I ate it, put it in the sink and washed it. I quickly went upstairs to my room and took a look to a picture frame with me and my family. Then I didn't realize tears went out to my eyes, staring at our family picture. "I love you mom, dad. I missed you all so much." I said and kissed the picture. Then, my eyes gets heavy and all got blanked out.
