Chapter 3: Dominican Flava

The sandy white beach was just a plus for her mood. Not to mention his rough hands scoping the plains of her curvy honey brown body. Today, he was extremely frisky than normal, but she would never deny him the pleasure of him getting close to her. Any woman in her right mind wouldn't. She took great pleasure in his overly robust physique pressing up against her small body. When he grabbed her thighs, it brought her joy and shivers down her spine. He placed it over his waist. Tangled between the thin blanket next to him, she reached up and ran her fingers through his black and brown dreads. His hand laid on her hip, creating imaginary circles on her skin.

The mood was set right and she felt like she was on cloud nine. A little help from the bubbly wine they drink earlier to celebrate. She had never felt like this in all her life. Finally loved by a man that she loved dearly. Valerie felt his eyes on her, but continued to look at his hairless chest.

It was amusing that she believed that she could just walk away and call what they had together a fling. Everyday she woke up to apologize to him. She could see in his golden eyes how her words had hurt him so much and she prayed that somehow the memory would fade away.

She was supposed to go on her annual girls trip to the Dominican Republic with her sister, but she canceled on short notice. Victoria caught the flu just before Valerie had got her new passport. By then, it was too late to cancel the trip so she just had to go alone to a island that she knew very little about. The two sister did just about everything together, so when Victoria wasn't going to be able to attend, Val was bummed out. Getting on the plane was lonely but when she got off it at Punta Cana International Airport her state of mind changed quickly.

The atmosphere was refreshing and the sun was shinning bright. Although Valeria was dressed in her favorite, knee length amber yellow dress, it was extremely hot and humid. She packed nothing but skirts and dresses and hoped that the sun would greet her with a huge smile. It didn't disappoint today.

The airport wasn't as packed as she thought it would be. The Dominican Republic was one of most visit tropical spot for vacation. Going to baggage claim, Val waited for all the bags to come onto the conveyer belt so she could began her sabbatical. The trip couldn't come sooner after a horrible break up with her ex boyfriend Drew.

Her mother always told her that when someone shows you who they are, believe them. So the minute Val got Drew Claymore hidden side she wasn't going to stand by. He was a cheater and the first time she found out, Val gave him a chance, but she wasn't going to continue to forgive him if he continued with his unfaithful ways. Drew didn't believe her ultimatum and did what he wanted to do.

Val left the next day.

They meet through a mutual friend and every since Val ended their relationship she wished that they would have never meet him in the first place. It would have cost her a heartbreak ahead of time. Since then, his calls were coming constantly. Flowers sent to her job, but before reading the card, the bouquets went straight in her trashcan. When he started to show up at her house after Val got off of work, she had enough and filed for a restraining order.

He was doing to much. She wanted to move on and to her, Drew should be respecting her wishes to do so, but a restraining order couldn't stop him from again doing what he wanted to do.

She moved from her home in Orange County, California to Houston, Texas where her sister moved to years ago. The trip was previously planned and thought it was the perfect time to get away from the craziness and just relax from it all. Val couldn't wait to get her a tropical drink and hang out at the beach all day long.
