Running cautiously through the tall, physically dying trees, I can feel the beat of my heart drumming against my chest; I try my best not to leave any tracks or make too much noise but with every stride the twigs seem to be crying out as they crinkle under my shoes.  She was most likely not too far behind me. She would find me in no time, and when she did I wouldn't be able to escape her this time.

A cold, eerie winter chill passes through my bones as I feel the hairs on my arms standing off my skin. Looking around, I notice how beautiful this place is. All the trees are covered in beautiful white snow. I watch curiously as small flutters of snow fall onto my nose and bare arms. I feel my body start to shake and I hope that I don't get frostbite. I run through a rose bush and take in a sharp breathe as the pain of the roses pricking my skin nearly causes me to scream. I continue running despite the fact that the blood is dripping down my arms. I whimper, the pain in my arms increasing and me running only making it worse.

What did I do to deserve this?

I turn a corner and come to an icy stop. Its a cliff.

Muttering a strand of incoherent words, I kick some rocks and pull at my hair.

"No." I cried. "No no no no no!" I fall down onto the ground, tears in my eyes as I pull my hair and rock back and forth, the snow soaking my pants.

"Yes yes yes dear." I sniffle as I hear that voice. The voice I've grown to hate in only a few seconds. The voice that makes me scared beyond belief. I look up and see her standing above me. She's wearing black skinny jeans and has her gray hair up in a messy ponytail. Her eyes are full of danger and though I'm probably taller than her, her stare makes me feel 2 feet tall. I look down at her hands and she's got two killing devices in either one.

"Now." She says weighing the tools in her hands, looking from side to side. "We could make this fun and enjoyable." She squeaks, lifting up a metal hammer. "Or, we can make it quick and boring." She raises a gray gun and places the cold metal tip to my head. I try not to cry but my tears have other plans. She smiles sweetly down at me as if she's doing nothing wrong. "Or." She kneels down beside me, cupping my face and wipes some tears away. "We could go home now." I don't want to. I want to go back to my real home. I agree to go seeing that I don't have a choice. But that place she calls home is not my home. It never will be my home. I nod, causing her to smile. "Come on. Let's go home." She helps me up, wrapping a hand around my waist and leading me back down the path to her car. As we get closer, I look back at my abandoned bike, now covered in snow.

She helps me into the passenger seat and as we drive, starts to talk about some nonsense I couldn't care less about.

Looking out the window, I feel hot tears stinging my eyes.

How'd I end up getting taken?
