"We're officially on the homestretch of filming this movie, you know," Wes begins, yawning. He looks around at the cast and crew member sitting on the grassy meadow around him, listening to him speak. "We have this night shoot going on right now, and the one going on tomorrow. Here's the game plan for tonight. Cast, we're going to film as much as we can with Sangster, you know, seeing as he won't be joining us for tomorrow's night shoot. Crew, it's gonna be pretty normal for you guys." Wes pauses to yawn again.

I look over at Thomas, who's sitting next to me. "It's July 11! Tomorrow night is our last day of filming, and where will you be?'' I whisper in his ear.

"I got called to do an interview over in Baton Rouge tomorrow night for some Louisiana nightly talk show, love. Tonight is my last day of filming."

My jaw drops. "Why didn't you tell me this?"

"I didn't tell anyone but Wes. Don't want people to know I'm being interviewed for this film."

"Wait, hold on. Back it up. You're going on a nightly talk show so you can be interviewed for a movie that hasn't even come out yet? A movie that isn't even done filming? That makes absolutely zero sense to me."

He shrugs. "Makes no bloody sense to me, either. I had no say in the matter. My agent reached out to the host of the show, his name is something like John McCarthy or something like that, and apparently John McCarthy thinks having me on the show would be great to stir up some pre-release movie publicity."

I see that it's a pretty good plan to get some buzz going on about The Maze Runner. Before I get the chance to continue the conversation, Wes begins to talk again.

"Okay, everyone. It's almost ten o'clock, and we're gonna be here till six in the morning, you know. It's gonna be a full day of filming, just overnight. Here's the agenda. First, we're gonna film the scene where Newt and Thomas talk on the log at the bonfire."

So, Sangster and O'Brien have to film first. Great.

"Then, we do the scene where Thomas and Gally fight. After that, we'll see where we are. If we can, we may do the scene after the Grievers enter the maze, you know when Gally attacks Thomas and Thomas injects himself with that Griever serum? We're going to do multiple takes of each scene just because we can. This is America; we can do what we want here. Does anyone have any questions?" Wes asks, yawning yet again.

Kaya raises her hand. "Yeah. How many hours of sleep did you get today, because I swear, you've yawned about seven times in the past minute. And we still have eight hours of filming left!"

The cast and crew giggle at Kaya's comment. "Scodelario, don't give me your sass," Wes shoots back, smiling. "Okay, everyone! Let's be ready to film in five!"

The cast and crew stand up to go get ready for the night shoot. We've only had one night shoot before, and everyone was in such a good mood. Everybody gets a little silly at night.

"Alright, love, I have to go film a film," Thomas says as he helps me up from the grass.

I laugh. "I'm gonna go see what Wes wants me to do as we do this."

We walk over to see Wes sitting in his director's chair. Cameras are set up all around him, focused on a single log near to a blazing bonfire. I guess the cameramen got themselves situated early.

"Hey, Uncle Wes," I greet, tapping him on the shoulder. He turns around and grins at Thomas, who's got his arm wrapped around my waist.

"Hey, Kelsey, Sangster. I hope you two are behaving, you know." He raises his eyebrows suggestively at Thomas.
