scott giggled and hid under the blanket on the couch from mitch. he curled up tightly and buried himself under the fabric, but he was a giant and nearly impossible to hide.

mitch pretended not to know where he went, searching for him. "hmm. i wonder where scottie went."

scott suppressed another fit of giggles and peeked an eye out of the blanket sneakily.

mitch hummed in thought again and plopped down the couch, right on top of scott. "where could he be?"

scott kept silent and went completely still, peeking up at him.

mitch sprawled out on his back, still on top of scott.

scott giggled and wrapped his arms around mitch suddenly. "boo!!"

even though mitch knew he was there, he couldn't keep the loud squeal from escaping his lips, and he started laughing as he relaxed in scott's arms.

scott grinned and sang playfully, "i scared you, i scared you!"

mitch blushed and hid his face in scott's neck. "stooooooop."

scott smiled even wider and squirmed around, as if he was dancing. "i got you, mommy!"

mitch scoffed playfully and rolled his eyes. "whatever," he muttered.

scott laughed and sat up with mitch, hugging him tightly.

mitch curled into him and closed his eyes, smiling softly.

scott pulled away suddenly, looking at mitch with wide eyes. "can we go places today, mommy?"

mitch hummed, tracing soft patterns on scott's chest. "where do you want to go?"

scott thought for a moment. "go look at stuffies??" he asked hopefully.

mitch looked up at him, biting his lip. "where- where would we go to do that? i'm sorry, i don't know much about-"

scott was already up and running around the house, throwing an outfit on and picking up the stuffies that were already at mitch's house, getting ready.

mitch watched him for a moment, still biting his lip, before slowly getting up and going to get dressed.

scott grabbed his paci and a blanket, plopping down on the couch. he held his stuffies to his chest protectively and put the pacifier in his mouth, sitting cross-legged under the blanket.

mitch returned a few moments later, but stopped, confused. "w-wait, i'm confused. a-are we going somewhere?"

scott nodded slowly, glancing down at his stuffed animals. all of them were torn and ripped from old age, since they were all from his childhood.

mitch hesitated. "o-okay." then, after a moment, "i'm sorry i'm such a bad mommy, i'm not used to this but i'm trying and i'm s-sorry i'm not good enough and-"

scott shook his head and reached for him with one arm.

mitch bit his lip again, but hesitantly approached him.

scott quickly grabbed his phone off of the coffee table and opened his notes, clicking on one titled "rulebook". he handed his phone to mitch and snuggled up to his side when he finally sat down.
