Apple of My Eye

Time stops when I look in her eyes,

She melts me with her smile.

Her skin soothing to the touch,

And her touch soothes me just as much.

Together moments are tenderly,

Young, middle aged, now we're elderly.

Time affected none of the above,

It only quenched our thirst for love.

I lift her high,

She does the same,

She brings me joy,

I ease her pain.

"My sweet beautiful queen,"

"My strong handsome king."

Words we'd never seized saying,

Countless fights and we've never regret staying.

The "I do's" never became "I don'ts,"

The "I will's" never became "I wont's."

We fought the fights,

Worked the days,

Slept the nights,

Experienced the lows,

Felt the highs,

We've tasted the dirt,

And touched the skies,

So lets hold hands and continue the journey you and I.

Not even death can separate us when we die.

That's why we are the apple of each other's eye.
