I awoke to the sound of a repetitive alarm clock, and so I sleepily reached over and turned the annoying disturber off. I then smiled blissfully to myself, whilst my eyes were still closed.

I laid still for a few more minutes, until there was a knock at my bedroom door. Sighing, I got out of bed slowly, and trembled over to the door. I swung it open, and my step-dad stood there, with a mug in his hand, and glasses over his eyes.

"Yes?" I asked dramatically, raising an eyebrow. He of all people knew I didn't like being disturbed, especially during early hours of the morning.

"Elijah," He began speaking, "It's nearly ten o'clock. You need to get up!" He pointed out, and I whined, "But it's still early!"

Rob shot a stern look at me, "If you're not awake and downstairs by half ten, I'll be up again with icy water." He warned, before walking away.

I scoffed behind him, and mocked his actions, by pretending to push a pair of glasses up my face. Rob didn't wear glasses; they were fake ones he had. Actually they were ones that I had bought from Claire's ages ago, and had had them stolen off me.

I slammed my door, and sprinted over to my dressing table. I had half an hour to get ready, or else Rob would be up here with water in a bucket, and nobody wanted that to happen.

I brushed through my tangled hair, did an upside down plait, and then put it up in a messy bun. I then got changed into a burgundy boyfriend t-shirt, dark acid wash skinny jeans and white converse.

I then grabbed my phone, put it in my pocket, and grabbed my makeup bag on my way to the bathroom.

Once I got into the bathroom, I locked the door behind me, and stood in front of the mirror. I applied mascara and eyeliner to my face, but no lipstick, foundation or blush. I then grabbed my toothbrush, scrubbed my teeth and swigged mouthwash.

Whilst I was in the bathroom, I also used the toilet. Soon, I was finished and ready to go downstairs.

I returned my makeup bag to my bedroom, and then closed my door. I then walked downstairs, where Rob and my mum were sat around the table, drinking out of mug each.

"Sup." I greeted them, sitting down.

Mum looked up from her newspaper, whilst Rob just slyly looked at me. I glared secretly at Rob, before turning to Mum, who spoke to me.

"Elijah," She smiled, "Good morning."

"Same to you," I answered, reaching across the table and grabbing a piece of toast from the plate in the middle. I also grabbed the butter and a knife, and I spread my toast.

"Got any plans today?" Mum asked, and I took a bite from my toast and shook my head. Once I had chewed and swallowed, I answered properly.

"I was going to sleep," I glanced at Rob, and then looked back at Mum, "But I decided to wake up instead." Again, I glanced at Rob, who was reading the newspaper that Mum once had.

"Why don't you go and visit Belle?" Rob suggested, not looking up from the paper. I nervously looked at Mum, who grinned at me.

"Uh, she might be resting." I told him, whilst still making eye contact with Mum.

"Aw Eli," Mum interrupted, "I'm sure she'll be awake. Just go and see her, you hardly ever spend any time with her anymore."

"Yeah, because she's in hospital all the time." I muttered to myself, and Rob looked up at me, "What did you say?"

"Nothing," I overexaggerately sighed, "I'm going to go and see Belle then." I smiled, standing up from my seat. I'm happy to be able to see Belle again, we hardly talk.
