Crash landing

All I remember in the last few minutes is that the plane was crashing, everyone was screaming and I blacked out. My name is Sky, and I'm 12 years old. Anyways, I was on a plane to Washington, D.C. for our annual vacation and the plane crashed. Since it had parachutes, my family and I jumped off together and we saw the other passengers fall on a different island.

So now we are on a deserted island, and we've got to survive, so I'm going to try to find some food. I head out to the wild and then suddenly I see a grizzly bear. I try not to look it in the eye, as not to aggravate it, then I back off slowly and without a lot of movement. Aren't I glad I read tons of books about survival. However, the stupid grizzly bear still ATTACKED me. This is a waste of energy, I thought as I punched the bear in the eye, then suddenly, the bear rammed me into a tree. I thought as I saw through hazy sight, that the bear was approaching. Then suddenly a lump of fur hits the bear on its head.What was that lump of fur in front of me? Slowly, The blacks spots in my vision fade away, and I notice parents there. My mom finally noticed the bear, and screamed. Turns out, a coconut fell from the tree and cracked its skull. I realised and said to them that the bear was dead and that we could have it for supper unless we could find food. They screamed again. Until I told them that unless of they want to go hungry their gonna have to eat it! So I found a couple of sticks and stones and then took a pair of sticks and started rubbing. About half an hour later they made a spark, and then I started roasting the bear. After it was done I cut some of it off and called to my mom and dad, they came running and I gave them some of the meat. I had some to. Tasted like beef. Then my dad suggested to get some water. My mom went and found some water. She called us and said that the water didn't taste salty. We drank water and set up camp. Daily life was simple. We collected a food supply, and made a fire pit. Everything was fine until...

2 weeks later. My parents and I were suited to island life but then came the tragedy. What happened, was that we were sitting on the beach and then I saw the waves receding. I realized that was going to be a tsunami, so I called out "mom,dad, there's a tsunami coming!", they replied "Now don't be silly Sky. We thought that surviving on this island got rid of your overactive imagination,". "Well suit yourself" . I quickly climbed a palm tree that was far far away from the beach, near the middle of the island. Soon the tsunami struck and my parents died yelling "Sky, why didn't you warn us of the tsunami you unloving brat".

After the very 'tragic' incident, the bear meat ran out, so I went to find some more meat or coconuts. I slowly realised that there were no other animals but the bear. I wondered how a bear got on the island, so I found the old bear tracks and followed them, and at the end of the tracks I found a portal. When I saw the portal I felt a mix of awe and curiosity so I went in and I found myself standing in a black world with no light and warmth. I strangely felt disturbed. For some strange reason,I though about Earth, being like this cold black area. This was not my territory. I heard a growl. Then something appeared in from of me. It was a scroll

Welcome to depth of dark

Where No man has seen light

If you wish to return, after 3 minutes past

Find the comfort of your fear.

Before 3 minutes, return to your world

By the portal, which never stood still.

But, choose wisely about going back

For if you do you may never return.

Danger lies forward, while safety lies back,

Read quickly for time is almost gone

Treasure, memories, your fondest wish,

Lies ahead...

I turn around, just in time to see the portal close and disappear forever.
