My own Smash

Part 8

Peach's P.O.V.

I closed my eyes shut. I slowly opened them to see the thing lying in front of me. Shadow had gotten back to his senses and whacked her with the brush it had. He was standing there holding it, hovering over it. "Euugh" the purple stuff came off to reveal a brunette. "Daisy!?!" She stood up and wiped the blood off her face. "I thought I took care of you!" She screamed and ran towards Shadow. He stood back for a second then held his ground. He moved out of the way and she ran into a pillar.

She turned around and fell to the ground. "Daisy why?" "I wanted to be included, but no!" She tried to stand her ground but couldn't regain it. "Daisy, please don't" "its already been done" she swiped the brush from him and she hit him. He washed away as a painting on the floor. "Why!?" "I should be asking that question! Don't worry though, it'll all be over" she raised the brush. She hesitated, she dropped it, "I just.... wanted to be invited.... to be included.." She collapsed on her knees.

I got up and broke the brush. Everyone turned back to normal. A cage slowly descended down, Rosalina sat in the cage tied up. I ran over and opened the cage and untied her. She hugged me and I stroked her hair. "It's over.. it's all over...." everything went white and I shut my eyes. We were back in the Mushroom kingdom. Everyone was back to normal, including the people that got turned into statues. "Peach!" Mario ran up to me. I hugged him tightly, "everyone's safe" I opened my eyes and looked over at Daisy.

The authorities dragged her away in an armored truck. My eyes teared up, she was my best friend after all. It was because of that stupid smash game. "Now everyone can go back to the smash brawl" "I quit" I walked away with my fist clinched. "But Peach-" "this so called 'game' destroyed my friend! I'm not coming back." I walked away and didn't turn back. I felt a hand on my shoulder, "there's nothing your gonna say that's-" he twirled me around and held out his hand. It was Shadow, I took it and shaked his hand. "It was nice 'assisting' you" I put on a small smile and walked away.

I walked into the facility. They held crazy bad guys here. I came and sat down at a see through plastic with a phone. I picked up the phone as someone on the other side sat down. "Hey Daisy" she didn't say anything. "I'm sorry" "why?" I looked up at her. "I wish this didn't happen to you. I'll try my best to get you out.." "Don't you get it!?" She slammed her hand on the metallic table. "I lost my kingdom, I lost my crown, my dignity, my sanity! I have nothing! It's already too late for me Peach... just go" she hung up the phone and turned away. "Wait, Daisy! Daisy!" She got escorted out and left me standing at the window.

I sniffled a little bit. "Sorry Ma'am, visiting hours are-" I pushed his hand off my shoudler and marched out. I couldn't believe it, my best friend went insane. She's gone too far now, there's no saving her. All becuase she wasn't invited. I hadn't stepped out of my room in days. I would let Mario in occasionally as he would comfort me. I couldn't stand to see Rosalina's face, she was part of the reason why Daisy was even more mad that she didn't make it. Things just weren't the same, I went through the day, just going through the steps.

I never thought one event could change everything.

???

I continued cleaning the dishes. I still had an anger deep down inside. I pushed it down and swallowed my pride. I couldn't let myself go again. "Umm, after you finish that up can you help me with this?" But at least I get to see my friend. "Yes Ma'am" "you don't have to call me that Daisy" "Peach" she hugged me, I hugged back. I wish things were in better circumstances.

Things will never be the same....
