It was 12:00am in New York City, and Raphael was in his bedroom with his turtle, Spike. Of course, he was ment to be sleeping.. but he just can't.
"Ughh... I'm so tired," Raph groaned as he sat up in his bed, he looked over to Spike, "But I just can't sleep..."
Spike lifted his head up as Raph sat up and tilted his head. Raph turned to Spike and gave him a gentle pat on the head, "Can't sleep too, eh?"
And of course, all that Spike answered with was a nibble on his leaf. Raph sighed and stood up from his bed, he stretched and walked to the kitchen. He opened up the fridge to find Mikey's left over pizza box. Raph opened it to find one of his 'creations'.
"Bleh.." Raph shoved it back in the fridge, and instead took a fresher slice of pepperoni pizza from last nights dinner. He took a bite leaned over the island counter. He saw a magazine on the corner of the counter, he picked it up and read the cover. Unconsiously eating his pizza.
The cover had beautiful different rings on it. He flipped the pages to where many more ring were on display with the prices next to them.
"Hm.." Raph thought. He skimmed his eyes over more rings, but one particulary one caught his eye. Staring at the ring on the page, something in his mind realised something.
Raph stood up straight, "That's it!!"
He took the magazine to his room and searched his room for his personal money jar. Raph eventually found it and emptied it onto his bed. He counted the money up.
"I have just enough to buy it, but I can't just walk up to a jewellery shop... I'll have to get April to get the ring for me tomorrow.." Raph picked the money off of the bed and put it back into the jar. He yawned and looked at his bed side clock, it was now 1:23 in the morning time and if he wanted to wake up tomorrow, he needed to sleep. So then slipped back into bed and looked over to Spike giving him a good head rub.
"Tomorrow will be a good day, Spike." Raph then slowly drifted off to sleep.
The Next Day
Raph jumped over roof tops towards Aprils apartment, he has his money in a small bag and the magazine in his hand. He arrived at Aprils window and knocked on the door. It took a while, but eventually she answered and opened the window.
"Hey Raph," April greeted with a smile, "Fancy seeing you here, whats up?"
"Hey April, I need you to do a favour for me." Raph reluctantly asks, handing her his money and the magazine with the chosen ring circled with pen. April took the magazine and money with a confusing look on her face.
"What do you want me to get for you?" April asked. Raph took the magazine and flipped to the page with his chosen ring for you. April was wide eyed, she looked at Raph.
"Are you asking (Y/n) to marry you?" April says with a sly smirk on her face, pushing down the excitement she had for the both of you.
Raph smirked, "Well, I don't have a ring.. So the favour was if you could go to the store and get it for me?"
"Of course.." April nodded and they bid their fare wells. Raph jumped across the roof tops back to the sewers, butterflies in his stomach.
Raph carried a big fluffy blanket, pillows and a picnic blanket to a roof top with a beautiful view of the city lights. He placed the picnic blanket on the cold ground, then pillows then the large fluffy blanket. April would meet him at this exact spot with a pizza and the ring that he wanted to ask you to marry him with. When everything was perfect, he decided to sit down on the edge of the building to wait for April to come.
April soon arrived with the pizza and the ring in hand. Raph took the pizza and put it on the picnic blanket, he then took the ring. He opened it to reveal the beautiful opal ring with the designs on the ring its self.
"April, thank you so much," Raph thanked her, "I think (Y/n) will love it."
"She definitely will, Raph, " She smiled, "And no need to thank me."
Raph smiled and April left to go back to her usual ways. Now the waiting game begins..
He sat back down on the edge and swayed his feet back and fourth, thinking about the possibilities on what could go wrong. Oh how he would hate for you to reject him..
"Come on, (Y/n) wouldn't do that.. shes to pure," Raph assured himself to calm his raging nerves. And speaking of you, you had arrived.
"Raph, this is too great.. whats the occasion?" You said. Raph stood up straight away, only for his eyes to meet you in a beautiful, floral dress with white ballet flats. Your hair was out with soft curls laced through them gracefully.
"I-I uhm.." Raph stumbled on his words. He couldn't find any so walked closer to you and wrapped his strong arms around your waist, "You're b-beautiful tonight."
Flattered, you wrap your arms around his neck, "You're handsome also, now tell me what all this is for."
"What, can a man take his gorgeous woman on a date for a night?" Raph smirked, to which you giggle softly at. He places a soft kiss on your lips, "Yes, but seriously.. This is for a reason."
"What reas-" You paused in mid sentence as Raph kneeled down to one knee. He had a little back box held in his hand, and opened it.
"(Y/n) (Y/m/n) (Y/l/n).. will you do the honours of making me the happiest turtles alive and marry me?"
You brought your hands up to your face as small tears roll down your cheeks in joy, "I do, Raph."
Raph, smiling like an idiot stood back up and wrapped his arms around you once more, lifted you up and softly spins you around, then placing you back on the ground.
"You said yes! I'm so happy because I was so worried that you wouldn't and I-" You interupt Raph with a soft kiss to his lips shutting him up. Raph similed and pulled the ring out of its box, then gently placed it on your ring finger. You eyed at it's beauty as it graces your finger.
"Raph, it's beautiful!" You say, looking at him. He looks at you back in your (e/c) eyes.
"So are you."
You smile wide and hugged him. Raph hugged you back, he showed you the pizza and blankets for you to relax and eat dinner. And that's what you both did for the night, both snuggled up next to eachother, watching the stars and enjoying each others company.
But it isn't the end, it is only the beginning.

Sorry that this took longer than usual to write, I was gonna finish and post this last monday on my birthday, but didn't get around to doing it. But anywho, I do have the other chapters planned and ready to write, so hopefully it won't take too long.
