Skyler's 10 years old POV
"MOM WHAT'S FOR BREAKFAST." In an grumpy and child like tone.
"Well aren't you a little grumpy before your performance. I have prepared your favorite layered-chocolate-pancake-with-cream-and-a-cherry-on-top-with-chocolate-syrup breakfast!" Mom said with enthusiasm.
"YAAAAAAYYYY! THANKS MOMMY!" and I gave her a big cuddly bear hug.
"Can Mr. Daddy over here join you guys?" My dad chuckled.
"Of course....... NOT! This is a girls bonding here. You can't join us!" Me and mom laughed.
"But I want to join you guys!" Dad pouted lips.
"No can do daddy. You have to join in next time!" I said as I gestured a no sign.
"Oh well, I guess I have to force myself in then! In 3..... 2......."
"MOMMY RUNNNNNNNNN!" as I grabbed her hand.
"You cannot catch us!" In a kiddy playful tone.
"Watch me!"
"Blek!" I stook out my tongue and ran across the room with mommy.
It took him not long to catch us. It was an easy catch.
"Caught you guys!"
"HMPH! Whatever."
Then we did a bear hug all together anyways. After awhile we settled down and went to the dinning table. We ate our pancakes. As we were eating my dad had something to say.
"Hey sweetie, I might be coming a little late to your performance." Dad said.
"WHHHHHYYYY?! I want you to come!"
"It's okay, I'll still be going to your performance."
"Buttttt daddy!"
"Ehh sweetie, dad said he will come. Don't worry." Mom said in an ensuring tone.
"Okay, but you have to promise me you'll come!"
"I Promise."
And we exchanged pinky promises.
Dad left and Mom got me ready for the performance. She did my hair and makeup. After that she gave me a little surprise.
"Sweetie close your eyes!" She said in a secretive tone.
"But why!"
"You'll find out when you do."
I closed my eyes and she put a dress on me. At that time I was in front of a mirror.
