I choked back a sob.
"M-mom?! My friends... M-my friends a-are g-gone..."
I sobbed, panic-stricken, I looked around for any of them.
They were all gone.
In a second, they disappeared.
Never to be seen again.
I heard my mom cry out for me through mind link.
I couldn't think.
My mom's words were not heard by me.
I blocked her cries out.
That's the thing I regret.
I regret not going back to the underground base.
Because if I had,
My parents would not have died trying to look for me.
