This would be the day.

I will tell Jonas that I liked him. It will be the day. How am I going to tell him? Will I get tongue tide? Will I get an panic attack ? Just relax, Sam, don't let anxiety get to you. Just relax. Nothing will ruined your day.

I looked at the clock post beside me. It was seven. Where is Jonas?

Thinking about him made me feel anxious. Will he like me back?  Will he-

At that very moment, I felt a hand on my shoulder. My shoulder got tense. Calm down, Sam. I told myself. Nothing bad will happen. After that, the tension on my shoulders went down.

Then I turned around to see him standing there all tired and angry.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

He just gave me an Are you kidding me look like his mother did when she didn't believe something. It was true that the more you denied about something you hate the more possibility  it will come true.

"So," I said. "is it your mom again?"

He just stared at me like I was a clueless child.  "I will take that as a yes."

"So do you want to go now?" I asked.

He just nodded. We started walking.

"So?" I began.

"So?" he said, angrily.

"How was your mom?" Damn it, Samantha, you shouldn't have asked that.

He looked the other way. That was a sign that he doesn't want to talk about it.

"I'm sorry." I said. "you don't-"

Before I could even finish he interrupted, "Hey, Sam." he stopped walking. I stopped too.

He smiled.

What could possibly change his mood?

 "she is coming this way."

"Who?" I asked.

He pointed to a girl that had just came out of Starbucks.

I looked at the girl he had pointed at. Yep, that's her. Tiffany Andrews, brown hair, big hazel eyes, flawless white skin, and a big bad attitude. So he wasn't mad at me at all, he was just looking at Miss Perfect. I had always hated her since first grade. She was a mean bitch to me and Jonas, yet he still like her.  A moment later, she noticed us. She winked at Jonas, turned back, then walked away. Jonas was breathless. Every single guy whoever laid eyes on Tiffany was either speechless or fainted. Jonas was one of them.

I sighed. "C'mon, lover boy."

Then Jonas quickly  snapped back to reality, but he was still speechless.

"Let's get to school." I said, walking forward with Jonas beside me.

Maybe today won't be the day after all....
