Chapter 13

Irene's POV

I wake up wrapped up on someone's arms. I turn around and look up to see Jaydan slightly snoring. I laugh and stare at him for a while taking in all his features. I see scares on his face from when we were kidnapped. "Good morning." I freeze and look down blushing. "Morning" I whisper to him. "Are you ok?" He asks me, lifting my chin to make me look at him. "Ya, it's just that yesterday, SHIELD is suppose to protect us, not contain us." I whisper looking up to him. "I can't go back to being confined and monitored all the time." I continue. "And you shouldn't have to, I'll protect you." He says kissing my forehead. "Irene?" Jaydan asks "Ya?" I say looking up at him. "Would you.. Um.., go on a date with me?" He asks me. "Yes." I say looking up at him. "Awesome! How about tonight at 7?" He asks. "Sure." I say. "Ok" I say smiling. "I'll see you later." He says getting up and walking out. "JARVIS, can you ask the girls to come here." I ask. "Of course." JARVIS replies. 2 minutes later all my friends, minus the guys come in jumping on my bed.

"Ok you guys promise not to scream." I say to them while trying to contain my smile. "Ok" They look at me suspicausly. "Jaydanaskedmeoutonadate." I say "What, can you say that just a little bit slower." "Jaydan asked me out on a date." I say slowly. "WHAT?" "OMG I KNEW IT!" "AHHHHH" "YOU OWE ME 20 BUCKS MIA" "Wait, you bet on Jaydan asking me out on a date?" I ask "What?" Jade asked innocently. "Are you guys ok?" Jaydan and Antonio came running in. "Nothing." I say quickly. "Just talking 'bout you and Irene." Mia said smugly. "What?" Yelled Antonio. "You didn't tell me! I am your best friend and you don't tell me stuff like this, I am so disappointed in you!" Antonio shouted as he stormed off. "If you hurt my best friend, I will find you and make sure that you will be found in pieces." Lauren said as she stalked up to him. "Ok, Lauren leave him alone." I say walking up to the two and pushing Lauren back. "Um, I'm going to leave." Jaydan says walking away. "Seriously, Lauren?" I say to her. "What he needs to be threatend by your best thing, it's like in the rules on being a best friend." She say smiling. "Ok, Jade and emily you are on her outfit, Mia you are on makeup and I am on hair." Lauren says organizing everyone. "Jade and Emily go find out where Jaydan is taking her." Lauren shouts. "Ok yikes." Jade and Emily say running out of the room. "Oh goodness" I think to my slef.
