Chapter 12

Irene's POV

Me and Jaydan found Natasha in the common room with all the other avengers. "Hey Natasha, could we talk to you in private please? I ask her. "Sure" she says and leads us to her room. "Is there any camera's or microphones in here?" Jaydan asks her when we get in her bedroom. "No there's none in here." she replies "Now what did you guys need to talk to me about?" She asks us. "We want to tell you our past, and you to tell it to Fury and the other Avengers." Jaydan says "Sure." Natasha says as she motioned for us to sit. "Ok when I was 14, I was walking home when I got kidnapped. I got kidnapped by Lucas Mikhailov, the russian mafia boss, he brought me back to his house and told me that I was to be his maid and do everything he asked. I said no,and tried to run away. He brought me back and then he told me that there were rules, and if I was to disobey him there would be consequences. The rules were to never disobey him, never ask questions, never try to run away and to do everything he asked. I told him that I would never listen to him. He then slapped me and told his guys to bring me to 'the basement'." I start stuttering as I recall what happened. "His men brought me to their basement and started beating me, punching, slapping, whipping. It went on for what felt like forever. When they were done they left me there and didn't return for a couple of days. When they came back I became their maid. Cleaning and cooking for them, One day Lucas came in and told me that I had to stay with him in his room instead of the maid quarters. I said no and tried to run away again. When he got me he brought me to his room and started tying me to the bed." I say as tears roll down my face, as Jaydan rubs my back soothingly. "He raped me, he didn't stop till the morning, he then left and told me that I was to no longer be a maid, that he had been to nice letting me be a maid, that I was to live in the basement, and his men could do anything they wanted with me. They took me to the basement, and one after another they would come down and rape and beat me. This went on for about a week, until Lucas came back with Jaydan, but he refused to hurt me so he got but in the basement to stay with me. Lucas's men would come down and beat both of us everyday. After about 4 weeks of this, they said they were going to make us into their personal weapon." I continue "They brought us to a lab, they strapped us to the chairs and started putting different chemicals into our bodies." Jaydan continued "They did this everyday for about 2 months, when they thought that they were done they sent us back downstairs. After about 3 days we started to realize that we had powers from them experimenting on us, we used our powers to escape, we went looking for our families, and found out that Lucas had killed all our family. We went to the orphanage and we got accepted in right away, nobody asked questions and for a while, we kept to ourselves, but then eventually became friends with our group of friends. All they know is that we were kidnapped and got powers while we were kidnapped." Jaydan finished telling Natasha as I was silently crying. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry guys, you should never of gone through that, I have met Lucas before, and he is not someone who is nice. When do you want me to go tell everyone?" Natasha asked. "Why don't we go now?" Jaydan suggests as they both look towards me. ".Sure." I nod still crying. "I'll go get them into the common room and call Fury." Natasha says getting up and leaving. "Hey, it's ok." Jaydan says getting up and hugging me as I cry into his chest. "Shh" he soothes me. "We should go down" Jaydan says as I nod.

In the common room

"What's wrong?" Tony asks as me and Jaydan walk in. "Natasha is going to tell you about our past." I sniffle as me and Jaydan go to sit down. Once Natasha was done telling everyone about our past we got bombarded with questions. "Do you have like PTSD or anything?" Bruce asked. "When things happen, like when I was kidnapped i'll freeze up and have a panic attack." I reply "Ok, let's go" Jaydan says helping me up. "Not yet." Fury's booming voice said as we were about to leave. "You are an experiment we need you to come with us." Fury said looking at me and Jaydan. "No we will not come with you." Jaydan said as he stepped in front of me. "You will come whether you like it or not." Fury boomed. "Sir, they just told us there past, like you wanted, leave them alone." Natasha said. "Men get them." Fury yelled as 50 guys came running in all armed. They started to come towards me. "No, leave me alone." I yell walking backwards. "NO" I yell as they try to grab me.I sink to the ground shaking and crying uncontrollably as they all try to grab me.

Jaydan's POV

As they hold me back I see Irene going into a panic attack with Fury's men surrounding her. "Fury leave us alone before I lose control." I yell at Fury. "No" he said. With that I burst into flames and started shooting fire balls at agents. "Enough!" Fury yelled. "Then let Irene go and leave." I say glaring at Fury. "I will be back he says walking back." I walk over to Irene and see her curled up in ball crying and shaking. "What's wrong with her?" Steve asks walking up behind me. "She is having a panic attack." I say "Can everyone please leave." I ask them. "Sure, let's go guys." Tony said getting everyone to leave." "Irene?" I ask walking towards her. "NO! Please leave me alone!" She cries. "Irene it's me, Jaydan." I say calmly sitting next to her. She leans into me, cuddling up on my chest. "Shh, it's ok." I whisper in her ear. "I thought they were suppose to protect us." she whispers. "I know." I whisper kissing her forehead. " Let's get you up to bed." I say picking her up. "Can you stay, please." Irene whispers when I leave her in her room. "Sure, I say taking off my shirt and laying next to her." "Good night." I whisper to her.
