Jackson and I decided to meet up at the library before school starts instead of after since he's got basket ball practice.I'm weirdly excited to meet up with Jackson.
I guess it's because I've been feeling so lonely.
I've got no friends.
My mom isn't here to talk to.
I've got nobody.
Working on this English project with Jackson is they only kind of social interaction I've had since being dropped by Emma and Candice.
I get to the library and there he was.
He already seemed to have gotten started without me.
"Hey", I greeted as I sat down.
"Hey."
"I see you already got started."
"Yeah. I'm just having trouble understanding how Taming of the Shrew can be seen as sexist."
"Trouble understanding? I thought you were supposed to be smart."
He chuckles.
"Do you believe that Petruchio's is sexist?"
"Yeah. Why does a woman need to be tamed?"
"I think some women need to be and it's not a bad thing. Sometimes she wants it but doesn't know it yet."
"There is something rape--ish about what you just said."
We both start laughing.
"If you believe women need to be tamed, why don't you tame your girlfriend. She looks like she runs your life."
"No one runs Jackson."
I scoffed.
"Do you think I need to be tamed?" I asked jokingly.
It suddenly got quiet for a few moments.
"Yeah I think you need it bad."
"Do I now? .... How would you do it?"
The tension in the air grew intense.
It suddenly wasn't innocent anymore.
Are we flirting?
His smile disappears and so does mine.
A few moments of silence goes by.
"I want you to leave her", I finally said.
Can't believe I just said that.
He squints his eyes a bit trying to figure me out.
"Why?"
"You know why."
He sat up looking surprised.
"Lisa, don't play games with me now."
