Ava Lee

Mr and Mrs Lee it seems from the previous tests made that your daughter may not be able to see precisely in both eyes.
There is a chance that one eye will be able to function normally and the other may not.
This observation is not final as your daughter is still in her early stages of recovery.

I consumed every word the doctor had delivered to my parents as slowly as I could.

Although he was speaking to the three of us, it seemed that he was mostly communicating with my Parents.
Maybe it was the fact that I was lying on the hospital bed with something thick bandaged over my eyes, nothing to see but darkness and the feeling of perspiration building up inside the bandage.
You're probably wondering  why the doctor was talking about my health issue when I was still on my hospital bed but I wanted to know.
It wasn't going to make any difference hearing it whilst I was on my way home from the hospital, the same effects applied either ways.

"Oh Ava darling, what can we do", my mother sobbed with a hint of fear in her voice as she held onto my hand.

I squeezed her hand acknowledging her that I was listening.
Something wet fell on to my hand as my mothers face connected to my hand.
" Err I'm just going for a coffee break I'll be back", Dad stated clearing his throat as I heard shuffling and then the door closing.

This was his way of coping, he didn't do so well with tears and always ended up being the one to run away.
He hadn't  uttered a word to me since I've been up two days ago.
And I haven't said a word to any one, only using the squeezing of my hand as a sign of communication. I'm still finding it hard to comprehend everything that has happened. How I ended up at the hospital , who brought me here and more.

I felt sorry for my mother that had been trying so hard. Since I've been up she has always been by my side, talking to me and telling me all the updates of my life recently.

Apparently I had been in a coma for a month, she told me I was in a horrible accident and I hit my head pretty bad.
I can't seem to remember what had happened.
The doctor said it was a pretty normal outcome, that memory loss came with brain damages and that the brain recollects the memories after a period of time.
He said it was the minds way of dealing with the shock it had gone through.
