I woke up early the next day, the sun shining through the window, burning my eyes. I fell asleep to the sound of my parents fighting.
I got up from bed, and began changing.
I wore a simple outfit, and tied my hair in a ponytail. I slipped in my snakebites, and walked downstairs, where of course, I was greeted by no one. It was dead silence. My parents had to get up early for work, so I never had breakfast in the morning.
I ate a quick banana, grabbed my stuff, and headed out the door.
Kale's POV
"I really don't get why I have to go to this stupid school!" I muttered over to my mom. "I mean, I don't even know anyone from here! What If they're all stuck up?!" "Oh hush kale! You'll be fine!" My mother replied.
As we pulled up outside, I could already see some of the students. And they looked all stuck up! I sighed, got out, and slammed the door behind me. As I walked toward what looked like a fountain, i could feel a couple of eyes on me.
Then a few minutes later, all eyes were on me.
Chris's POV
"Slut face!" A couple of girls said as I walked passed the library. I sighed to myself, and kept on walking down the hall. "What did I do to deserve this?" A small voice in my head said. But it was soon interrupted by my clumsy self walking right into something hard.
Kale's POV
As I turned the corner, I felt something slam right into my stomach. It was a person, well, it was a girl. "I'm sorry." She said softly, backing away from me, hanging her head down. Her face, it was different. She wasn't like the others.
Before I could speak, she slowly began turning away from me, and walking away. "Hey, Wait!" I yelled out to her. She quickly stopped in her tracks, and slowly turned back to me. "What?" She replied.
I walked quickly over to her, and held out my schedule. "Do you know where science is?"
She took the paper, and studied it in her hands. "Wow." She muttered quietly. "What is it?" I replied.
She hesitated, then gave me back my paper, "We have every class together." She mumbled.
