Ash was at his house. He was in the middle of a conversation with Clemont, one of his online friends, until they mentioned Serena.
He then thought that it would be rude of him to not answer her back. When he picked up his phone, he realized she had never messaged him back.
"That's.....strange..." Ash said while having a confused look in his eyes.
"What's the matter, Ash?" Clemont asked.
"Well, I texted Serena five hours ago. It was a simple text, and she hasn't answered back." Ash answered back.
"Dude...you don't think she's in danger. Do you?" Clemont questioned his friend, which made the young man's mind go all over the place.
Ash started to freak out a little. "Oh my god!! Serena hasn't texted me back yet! It's been five hours!!"
"Ash, relax! I'm sure she's perfectly fine!" Clemont assured Ash, but it wouldn't help calm the boy's nerves.
"Well then, why isn't she answering her phone!?" Ash shouted as he continuously dials Serena's phone number, trying to call her, but each attempt would go to her answering machine.
"Maybe her phone is dead," Clemont suggested.
"No. Her phone lasts all day." Ash countered his friend's theory.
"Maybe she forgot to charge it?" Clemont said, which led Ash to make another counter to that theory.
"No. She never forgets to charge it."
"Ok. Maybe you're right. She may likely have been kidnapped." Clemont stated.
Ash was silent. Thoughts were rushing into his head. Thoughts of Serena dead in a pool of her own blood. Thoughts of her being tortured. Thoughts of her getting sexually assaulted. These thoughts filled Ash's mind with only negative emotions.
Ash remained silent until Clemont continued his statement. "Ash. I'm sorry. I'm sure her parents know where she is."
"Yeah, you're right. I'll be back. I'm going to ask her parents." Ash said to his online friend, before leaving his room.
And with that, Ash ran out of the house, while not telling his parents where he's running to. He was hoping that she was just at home, taking a nap.
When he arrived at her house, Ash ran up to Serena's front door and began knocking on it, frantically. Once the door was opened, he started to talk to her parents.
"Hello, Sycamore. Hello Grace!" Ash said with quickness in his voice.
"Hey there! Is Serena with you?" Sycamore asked his daughter's boyfriend.
Ash froze. He stood petrified. He couldn't believe it.
"You mean, she isn't home?!" Ash shouted.
"I'm sorry. We thought she was with you." Grace responded.
"When was she supposed to get home?!" Ash questioned his girlfriend's parents on the whereabouts of their daughter.
"Five hours ago," Sycamore answered.
"No way...." was all that Ash could mutter, as his worst fears may have come true.
"Ash? What's the matter?!" Grace shouted.
"Ok. This is bad! You need to call the police or something!!" Ash shouted out a command to Serena's parents.
Grace's eyes widen as she looked at her husband, standing talking to an emergency operator.
"Ok fine!" Ash yelled as he runs off, heading back to his house. When he got home, Ash goes up to his room and slammed the door behind him. He jumps onto his bed and starts crying. He was an emotional wreck.
4:07 PM
Ash's friends have been trying to calm him down all day. However, their attempts failed, as Ash was just not having any of it. He felt like it was all his fault that Serena didn't return home safely. He should have been there with her so that he could have prevented anything bad happening to her. Ash's mind is slowly descending into a state of depression.
Then, he got a phone call from Grace. The moment he answered, he heard Grace's cries of joy and sadness.
"Grace? What is it!?" Ash shouted.
"They found her, Ash! They found Serena!" Grace exclaimed.
"Really? Where was she?!" Ash asked while jumping off his bed.
"S-she was found unconscious in an alleyway...She has bruises all over her. There's also scratches all over her face."
"Is she ok?" Ash asked with a concerned tone in his voice.
"Yes. She's fine. She's on the way to the hospital. I'll call you again when you are allowed to visit." Grace answered.
"Ok. Thank you, Grace..." Ash said to Serena's mother.
"Goodbye, Ash," Grace said.
"Goodbye," Ash responded before hanging up.
Ash had mixed emotions right now. Ash was ecstatic. His girlfriend was alive. The love of his life is still alive. However, he was furious at whoever had done this to her. He was so upset that Serena got hurt...
4:57 PM
It's been nine hours since Serena was kidnapped, and basically, was assaulted this morning. She has been unconscious for nine hours.
Her mother, Grace, is sitting by Serena's hospital bed. In the 20 minutes that Serena had been laying there, they put a cast on her arm. She was attached to a hospital monitor and had an IV in her arm.
Serena began to regain consciousness. Her eyes fluttered open. Once the blinding of the light on the ceiling dies down, she lifts her head up, to find herself in a hospital room.
Once her mother noticed, her expression goes from depressed to ecstatic. She then rushes over to her daughter.
Serena couldn't think straight and was a little dizzy. She saw her mother, but she barely knew her.
"M-Mom?" Serena asked with a soft tone in her voice.
"Sweetie! You're okay!" Grace shouted.
Serena forced a small smile. She knew who her mother was, but for a horrible reason. She felt really uncomfortable about talking to her mother.
Serena only remembers a few selected things. They are so far apart that she can't really piece her life back together. She is missing the most important parts of her life.
She remembers her name and a few more things. The one thing that she remembers the most is Ash, her boyfriend...
