"Goodbye kids! Be careful, behave, don't go out with any boys, don't do drugs, i don't even know if they have any, but don't so them, don't smok-"
"Mom, please stop. The train is leaving right now." said Frost lifting her bag onto her shoulder. "No it's not sweetie you still have 20 minutes" said her mom looking down at her watch. "We have friends waiting for us." said Everest. "You haven't even met anybody yet!" exclaimed her mother. "Mom, how rude this is my best friend... uh.... Jack" she said grabbing some boys shoulders. The boy looked down at the girl confused, she elbowed him in the stomach and he winced getting the point. "Yes, hi... sweetie" he said hesitantly. Unfortunately for him that was a bad decision. "Who are you? What are you doing with my daughter!" screeched their mother hitting him with her handbag. He desperately covered his face with his arms "not the face!" he screeched running onto the train.
"Okay well i'm gonna go now, meet up with Mack." said Frost almost on the train. "You said his name was Jack!" said her now very worried mother. "Yep, just making sure you were paying attention" she said with a grin sprinting onto the train, her silver hair whipping at her face. She begins to travel around the Hogwarts express looking for a compartment to spend the trip on. She discovers that there are absolutely no free spots for her and her sister. She finds a compartment with a boy with tousled hair, round glasses and a strong jawline, the boy beside him was tall and lanky with sandy hair and a warm smile, there were two other boys; the first was shorter than the others with dirty blonde hair and a cute face, the other with dark long hair and stormy grey eyes. The four boys stared back at the pretty girl with the long silver hair and two different colored eyes; the right green and the left blue. A girl behind her came saying something about finding a camera. They both smiled at the boys. "Can we please sit here? Everywhere else seems to be full" said Frost with a smile. The boy with the dark hair gawked at her throwing his hands up in the air. "umh hello! Aren't you going to apologize?" said the boy tilting his head. "And you are?" she scoffed. "I'm the guy your mom hit with a handbag!" He exclaimed. "Ohhhh...you're the guy. Yeah, sorry about that" said Frost. "Man, you're that forgettable" said the boy with the glasses laughing. The boy with the long hair glared at him. "Don't be so sirius" said the same boy. The boy with the long hair whipped around. "Oh deer" he said smirking. "Guys, shut up" said the lanky boy. "Don't get your fur all tangled up" said the boy with the glasses. "Guys, we have guests" mumbled the smaller boy. "Oh Peter, scurry along" sneered the boy with the long hair. The boy decides to speak up. "I'm James" he says pointing to himself. "That is Peter" he said pointing to the smaller boy. "This is Remus" he said pointing to the lanky boy. "And finally, this is Sirius" said James signalling the boy with dark and long hair. "Your name suits you well" said the sliver haired girl lightly giggling. "Thank you" said Sirius smirking. "Well I guess we should introduce ourselves" said Frost tucking her silver hair behind her ear. "I'm Frost, the oldest twin" she said making the other sister roll her eyes and laugh. "And this is my twin sister, Everest" she said pointing to the other girl with the short blue hair. She had the same eyes but different; her right was blue and her left was green. "She's a Bit shy" said Frost smiling. She was then elbowed by Everest. "So Umh how about we call you Mountain." Said James running his hands through his hair. "don't you dare!" exclaimed Everest with wide eyes and a small smile growing on her face. "So, how haven't I seen you girls around here before?" Said Sirius pushing Remus closer to the wall of the train , inviting Frost to sit down beside him. James did the same to Peter to let Everest in. "Something went wrong in the Headmaster's book and he didn't get us In the records until this year." Said Frost shrugging. "What? That's so weird. The book is usually always right." Said Remus talking for the second time. Everest nodded. "Yeah, that's what I've heard, too. It's weird but it's fine. We know just as much as you guys do. Maybe even more." Says Frost. "How?" Asks Sirius. The two girls look at each other. "Well, we've read up in books." Explained Everest. The boys seemed almost impressed, especially Remus. "What do you guys know?" Asked Remus now finally getting getting his head out of his book and looking at the sisters. "Well, basic spells, hexes and jinxes, potion recipes, a lot about magical creatures and how to care for them, herbology, dark arts and, some more stuff I can't remember." Said Frost trying to remember everything. "Wow, you've done your research I see" he said now putting his book away in his book bag.
The train ride went very smoothly. Everyone talked, shared stories, played games, ate candy. Frost and Everest were already having a great day so far. "What houses are you guys in? I forgot to ask" asked Everest. "Oh well, we're in Gryffindor" said James. "I hope you girls could join us" said Sirius. "Well, if they aren't with us we can just sneak em in the common room" said James with a laugh giving Sirius a nudge from the other side of the table. The train suddenly made a loud screeching noise; the noise of the tracks stopping the wheels. "Well, looks like we're here" said Remus standing up and taking his book bag. The others fallowed him The train became crowded and hard to walk through as more and more anxious students got up. They finally got out of the train. Once out, the marauders led the two new girls to the carriages, they were being pulled by skeletal horses, Frost observed them not sure how to describe them as they weren't any kind of horse she'd ever seen before. "James, what are those things pulling the carriages" asked Frost. He looked at her equally confused, "Frost, it's just magic, if you're trying to make a joke it's not very good is it." stated James smirking at her. She rolled her eyes at her new friend but smiled all the same. She noticed the look her sister gave her, telling her she was seeing them too.
Everest held her sisters hand among the pool of first years and smiled at her reassuringly. They noticed the hesitant stares of the younger boys and girls, looking up at them. "You may come in now" said the voice of a strict looking lady. The two girls grinned at each other walking behind all of the kids into the great hall. Sorting was a scary and serious topic. All of your choices in life and your personality traits are what defines you in Hogwarts. Hufflepuff is for the kind and the honest; not the first words you would use to describe the twins. Ravenclaw was for the witty and the intelligent; sure, they're smart but it's not their main priority. Slytherin is know to be an ambitious and cunning house; Very possible for the two girls. Finally, Gryffindor. The house for The brave; a dream house filled with wonderful people, how amazing would it be to get in there? The crowd of first years begin to move. Everest and Frost begin to feel like first years themselves. They enter the great hall and are amazed by the beautiful decorations on the ceiling. All students draw their attention towards the new students; especially Everest and Frost. They stop walking as the woman pulls out a sheet of paper. "Glenda Wallwire" she says looking at the crowd. A small blonde girl emerges out of the crowd and almost skips over to the chair where and old brown hat is located. She sits down and the hat is placed on her. The hat begins to mumbles words when it suddenly screams "Ravenclaw!". The girl smiles and runs over to her new table. "Sirena Tolan" "Relen Peters" "Johnson Harbrod" "Liliana Perkins". The names fly by when suddenly...Frost recognizes her name. "Frost Ravenwood" the lady exclaims. Frost begins to take her steps with caution. She pushed carefully through the crowd to instantly feel all eyes on her. She breathes slowly walking up the steps. 'This is it' she thinks I herself. "Ah I see. You're not a first year. You've had some harsh experiences and you've learned from them. You're knowledgeable. Sadly, Ravenclaw isn't meant for you." Frost sighed in relief. "You're Kind but it's never easy for you to always put others before you. Not Hufflepuff." The hat's eyebrows furrowed in stress. "Brave. You're brave and you're very short-tempered and will do anything to protect your friends." She raised her eyebrows and stopped breathing. The hat paused. "Well you know what they say, Slytherin is where you make your true friends so i guess i'll have to go with...Slytherin!" The hat yelled. The crowd jumped and cheered. Frost was shocked but so much happier than she thought she would be. Slytherin it is. She walked to away from the chair and into her seat at the slytherin table. The cheers calmed down and the lady cleared her throat. "Everest Ravenwood!" She exclaimed. Everest thought she would be ready to walk up there after seeing her sister doing it so gracefully. She was wrong. She almost froze but picked herself back up and forced herself to walk. She didn't stop dragging her feet until she reached the hat. She sat down and sighed. "Ah you're a twin. You're similar to your sister yet you're so different. Parties aren't your thing, you'd rather stay in and read a book. How Ravenclaw of you. You're kind like your sister and it's easy for you to make good decisions as you think of others. You like to fight for what you believe and your bravery isn't obvious but it's there. But, you like to cause trouble and you like to somewhat create it, too. You're confusing." The hat doesn't speak for a few long seconds. The crowd begins to whisper. The hat is confused. "Well, I know it's only right to put you in Slytherin!" Exclaims the hat. Everest gets up and smiles at her sister. She rushes over to her and hugs her tightly.
