The two girls nervously entered the common room along with the other fourth years. At first glance they all seemed cold and not very kind. Everest assumed this was just the slytherin way. The head girl showed them to their room. Walking in they noticed two other girls, both with black hair, one was smooth and straight the other was curly and wild but both seemed to be extremely attractive all the same. Everest shrugged at her sister and walked in where their stuff was already there for them.
"Who are you?" said the girl with the curly hair rather rudely. "I'm Frost, this is Everest who are you?" asked Frost mimicking her tone. "I'm Bellatrix, this is Narcissa." she said back. "K, great" said Everest. They awkwardly stood there in silence. Finally, Bellatrix and Narcissa shuffled out of the room. "Well they seem...nice" grimaced Frost. Everest laughed starting to unpack her things from her trunk. For the rest of the night both girls stayed in their dorm unpacking and putting their things away in drawers. The were four, four poster beds dispersed around the square room, each with long velvety drapes and dark green sheets. The floors were made with dark wood to match the drawers that each of them had. It was a very warm day, yet the room was freezing cold to both of the girls dismay. All over the drawers and bed posters slender snakes were carved in almost as if the were slithering around on their furniture. Thankfully both girls wore a lot of black already so their fashion fit in, excluding a few colorful outfits. They had both seen Narcissa and Bellatrix only pull out green, black and grey out of their suitcase. Although both girls had a lot of maroon, they quickly out it in place knowing it would probably be considered Gryffindor colors. They didn't exactly want to be outcasts already.
The next morning both girls got into their uniforms, which consisted of white blouses, black skirts, slytherin tie, knee high black socks and black wedges. However while Bellatrix and Narcissa were both long gone (the girls hadn't seen them all morning) the two sisters were struggling with finding everything. "Eve! Where's my mascara!" shouted Frost pulling on her second sock. "The one with the green top?" shouted Everest from the washroom. "No the one from Sephora!" she shouted back braiding her hair into two dutch braids with a flick of her wand. "Ya it's right here!" said Everest throwing the tube at her sister. Catching in her hands she rushed to the closest mirror putting on her daily makeup. Once finished both girls rushed out of the room and down the corridor. "Crap" stated Frost. "What?" asked Everest worriedly. "We don't know how to get to the Great Hall" whined Frost. "Not to fear!" exclaimed a familiar voice of a very arrogant boy. "Black" spit Frost. "Nice to see you to, but that's no way to treat your knights in shining armor. " said Sirius draping an arm around her shoulders. "More like you dragged us all the way down here to maybe bump into Frost and save the day" said Remus dryly but a smile played on his lips. "Do you have a crush on me?" said Frost in a teasing voice. "Of course i do! Will you go on a date with me Frost!" exclaimed Sirius dramatically. "In your dreams Black" she said laughing, hitting the back of his head.
"Hello class, im your new potions teacher, professor Slughorn" he said licking leftover sugar on his finger tips. "Hello Sluggy" said James kicking his feet up on the desk. Frost did the same. "Oh, you must be our new student, Frost." he said. "Yeah, James has told me so much about you." she said taking a bite out of her licorice wand. "All good things i hope" he said with a chuckle. "Of course" she said with grin glancing at James. "Alright, we are going to start with a poison antidote as a review from last year. I will be pairing you up in two." he said. "Frost, you can go with Fabian." He said nodding his head slightly. "Who the hell is Fabian?" she asks throwing up her arms. "Me!" a boy with flaming red hair said winking with a grin. She smiled back. "James, you can go with Lucius" said Slughorn signalling to a boy with pale skin and hair the color of snow. "Umh i don't think that's going to work for me. My man Sirius here does not have a partner, though." said James. "Well, if you work better with him" said professor. "and you can go with Peter" he said talking to Everest, not realizing she was new. Slughorn kept on pairing up students while Everest picked up her books and walked to the other side of the classroom where Peter was. Behind him, Remus was opening his book while talking to some girl with red hair. They seemed to be friends. "Ill go get our ingredients" said Peter. Everest looked around the room. Frost was laughing, probably because of something that Fabian said. She always envied her sister. Frost was able to make friends with anyone. She seemed to be so confident in her own skin. On the other hand, Everest has always been an introvert who found it difficult to make conversation with someone she didn't know. "Are you okay?" asked Peter worriedly waving a hand in front of her face. She blinked quickly and smiled at him. They mostly talked about potions but she enjoyed herself a lot more then she thought she would. She noticed that even though he didn't seem as attractive compared to the rest of the Marauder's but no one bothered to talk to him so how would they know that he was actually really sweet and charming.
