Regina walked home from school with her boyfriend, Jasper.

His blue eyes and dark brown, chocolate, hair, made his sun kissed skin sharp.

She smiled, holding his hand as he brushed his finger upon hers. "I'm glad your coming over for dinner." She smiled, looking at him. He wore his favourite black converse and jeans. "Me too. It's our first time, and it will be nice just the two of us together." he said, the wind blowing his hair back a little.

It was a late November day in Illinois, USA, and the nice cool wind set a refreshing feeling across her cheeks.

She saw her house looming ahead, and she turned herself into her driveway, leading Jasper after her.

"Okay, you ready?" She smiled, excited. It was her first ever house she had bought on her own, and she was steadily pleased to show it first to her boyfriend.

Jasper nodded with a grin "Ready as I'll ever be." He said, watching as she opened the door.

Regina led him in to a small room filled with a TV set, rug, two couches, and lightly painted brown walls. Jasper looked around in amazement "It's nice." He soothed.

He was so close to her...she just wanted to grab him and kiss his soft, warm lips, feel his sharp edged body.

She smiled, staring into his beautiful eyes. "Thanks...it's not much, but it's better than nothing." She said gently, letting her voice smooth out for itself.

He let out a chuckle that vibrated throughout the room, making her grin in happiness.

He grabbed her arms and angled her towards him. "You're cute." She whispered along his cheek, leaning in towards him. Jasper grinned back, using his nose to nudge her face up, along with his hand to grab her chin. "I'm cute? Says the one who wants to show me her first apartment. Now that," he said with a huge smile "is what I call cute."

And then he urged himself in, kissing her deeply and softly, fast and slow.

She mumbled along his lips, soon gasping for breath, heart beating in excitement.

For hours, they lied along the couch, in perfect rhythm of each other's bodies.

Around nine o'clock, Regina sat up among Jasper's shoulder.

She lay half naked, as well as he, and she sighed, grabbing her maroon red t-shirt she had dropped on the floor hours ago. She put it back on, lifting her hair out of her shirt in silence.

Jasper stayed silent as asleep. As she got to her feet, the sound of breaking glass froze her in her footsteps.

Cool wind entered the house in a sudden instant, and the full moon outside shone bright features among the broken window glass. She walked over to the window quietly and slowly, ready to flee if necessary.

When she reached the window, which took seconds, she stopped, peering out into the night. The full moon was bright. The sky clear. Stars shown. But nothing, not one single shadow or figure, was out there.

"What the hell..?" She whispered, too quiet for Jasper to hear.

She looked back before climbing out the window, leaping to the grassy earth below.

She made sure nothing was going to leap out at her before striding off into the forest, catching footprints once and a while that made her curious. Other than the sound of her footsteps, there was no sound. Complete silence. No birds tweeting, no deer prancing. No wind, or water sources.

"What am I doing? " she muttered to herself stupidly. She was delirious. There was nothing here. Nothing.

She turned to go back home, to cuddle with Jasper and be safe in his arms. To be warm. Happy.

But she felt something watching her. Felt the feeling of eyes staring straight through her body.

She felt her eyes widen, and she spun around, but before she could run, before she could call and scream for help, a large mass of weight landed on her torso, pinning her down into the ground.

Regina gasped, the breath knocked out of her.

What the hell was this?

She kicked at it, watching as the shadow whimpered and leaped back in pain.

She scrambled to her feet to see a russet red wolf staring her down. Amber eyes gleaming, hungry. Mouth drooling, white fangs sharp.

She stumbled back a few steps in fear, going stark pale as the wolf slowly and cautiously ambled towards her, letting out deep, rolling, growls.

"Shit.." she cried out, bolting off as fast as possible, as fast her her legs would take her.

But the wolf was faster. Stronger.

It charged after her, leaping and pinning onto her leg, biting it. She screamed in pain and fell towards the ground, leg unable to move, shaking horribly.

Blood dropped and rolled to the leaves, and down her pale skin.

She pulled herself up with her arms and turned towards the wolf, pulling herself back slowly, leg dragging along the ground. Tears streamed down her faces in pools, the pain making her sob and gasp for air.

She froze, seeing the wolf gone. Not even there. She shook, fearing the wolf would return, but also fearing that this wolf wouldn't, and she would be all alone to slowly die off in this forest.

She let herself fall onto her back and cry as she bled out.
