As I promised, I will tell you about how I learned my Osprey's name and a few tips on how you can find your Therian's name as well.

I will be writing this in my POV, and I will write it as if it were a story. Enjoy!

My aunt's kayak softly drifted across the cove. The fresh lake was like glass, and the vibrant green trees were perfectly mirrored on the water. The sky was a deep blue, and the puffy white clouds were beginning to have trimmings of of faint orange.

A whisper of wind gently danced in the leaves, bringing with it a lovely warmth. A mellow, safe and belonging feeling came over me, filling my soul. I felt at peace. I was content in the seat of the kayak, on the face of the lake, and mixed with the wind.

The rich, red clay brushed the side of my kayak. I had drifted to the shore. Careful not to disturb the magical spell, I quietly yet swiftly paddled towards the middle of the cove, where my mom sat in my dad's kayak, on her phone.

I dragged my paddle in the water and the kayak slowed to a stop. Still drifting ever so slightly, I put my paddle down, lifted my feet on top of the kayak, and adjusted myself to a comfortable position.

Glancing at the sky, green leaves and glassy water, I closed my eyes.

I focused on my breathing, and relaxed all my tense muscles. A Belted Kingfisher cried in the distance. My senses became sharp. My mind went blank and peaceful, like a dream. I could hear noises clearly, and the scent of rich earth, forest, and water filled my nose.

I was in a meditative state. I sat there, relaxing more and more, becoming tired.

Suddenly, a large splash split my concentration, and my eyes flew open. Not only had I heard a splash, but a name rang from it. Pandi! What's more, the splash was made by an Osprey diving for a fish from the sky. His feathers caught the golden sunlight, and when he shook, it seemed as if droplets of honey flew off him.

"Did you see that?" My mom called.

I shook my head, " No, but I heard it!"

Inside my head, I repeated the name. Pandi. Pandi.

"Well, we better start for home." Mom said as she turned dad's kayak homeward.

"Ok." I replied, turning my aunt's yellow kayak.

I was filled with a new energy and excitement. Pandi was the name of my Osprey Therian!

.....................................................................................................................................

So that was how I found it! After a while, I learned two things about it.

- Pandi sounded like panda. Would my friends make fun of me?

- Pandi is the first 5 letters in the Osprey's scientific name. Coincidence or would my friends be skeptical?

I grew less and less confident that it was my name. But after lots of dreams, meditations and consultations with friends, I've come to accept it. In fact, I'm now very proud of it!

So, I'm sorry I can't give you tips tonight because it's late and I'm tired. I'll tell you guys tomorrow.

Until next time,

Birdlyn.
