Jungkook lay in bed that night with beads of sweat on his forehead. Unable to wipe them due to his utter exhaustion, he rolled over and rubbed it on his pillow moaning and groaning into it.  Jimin threw his pillow at him, whisper-shouting, "Can you shut the fuck up and sleep already?"

"He's here," Jungkook murmered to himself.  "Tae is here."

"What are you talking about?  That Nari girl said he was everywhere and that she didn't know exactly where he was."  Jimin stood up now, wearing nothing but a pair of flannel pajama pants and Jungkook scrunched his nose.

"He's got to be around," Jungkook said to no one in particular. "I'm going to find him."

"Woah, woah, woah," Jimin denied, sitting down beside him. His compass necklace dangled above Jungkook's face and he stared at him. "Didn't Nari say he broke up with you?"

"And your point?"

"Well clearly if he left you, and never bothered to even contact you, then chances are: he probably doesn't want to speak to you." Jimin's conclusion was stinging Jungkook, but in no way was he wrong.  Jungkook thought to himself about the last time he saw Taehyung.  He thought about how much he'd cried that night and how much he hadn't eaten, drank, or slept that week.  It made his chest tight and he turned over on the bed, then sat up, face to face with Jimin.

"The thing is, I just want to know how he is."  Jimin slowly closed his eyes and curled in his bottom lip in disagreement.

"I don't think that's a good idea," he declared.  "After the things Nari discussed with you about him, he seems like a horrible person."  Jungkook's eyes widened and he lightly shoved Jimin.

"Don't say that about him," he warned.  "You didn't know him like I did."

"I know him the way he was when he left you?  I was there when Nari said it, remember?" Jungkook sighed and collapsed back onto the welcoming bedsheets. In the wintertime, they felt like another home to him. "It didnt sound like a healthy relationship."

"Have you ever dated anyone?" Jungkook asked out-of-the-blue. Jimin was taken back and kept his mouth closed. Jungkook continued to look at him with curiosity but Jimin held a poker face.  "I'm serious, have you?"

"Yes, but that's none of anyone's concern," he declared.  "It was just a thing, I guess it wasn't dating."  Jungkook felt the need to pry, but the way Jimin fidgeted uncomfortably in the bed told him he shouldn't.  "Anyways, you don't have to go back to someone like that."

Jimin was probably right about this whole thing, but something twisted in Jungkook's stomach and made him feel uneasy.

"I know that face of when you're thinking about doing something completely out of proportion and that's it," Jimin warned.  Jungkook threw himself over the side of the bed and Jimin placed his hand on his leg.  "Jungkook, please."

"I have to know," he insisted.  "Just if he's okay and what's been up to all these years.  It'll give me closure."

"That's what everyone says in the all the movies, and then they end up getting into their messed up relationship all over again.  The cycle goes and people move on.  I hope you understand that."

"And what if he's different?   What if he's changed?  You and I can't possibly have any way of knowing until I search for him myself."  Jimin rolled his eyes.

"All Nari said was that he's in the area.  What the hell are you going to do?  Also it's the middle of the night.  Please just do this tomorrow morning."  Jungkook just noticed how serious and worried Jimin looked and deeply exhaled.  "Leaving in the middle of the night isn't going to find you anyone."
