She wasn't nearly as average as her name made her out to be.
This girl was the first American to ever attend Hogwarts from Ilvermorny. A week after her mother died in a car accident, she got a letter from her absent aunt, begging her to come live with her in England. Jane had never met this woman. Yet, she had nowhere else to go; and she had always wanted to go somewhere other than America.
So there she went. Dumbledore himself welcomed her into Hogwarts, and walked her around the castle (Over summer, mind you. Shan't have all of those student knowing that they have a new peer.).
He sorted her before school started. The hat took about 30 seconds to decide ("It wasn't hard" he had said.) She was to be a Hufflepuff. Yellow and black. She liked those colors anyway.
