Durmstrang and Beauxbatons Arrives

As Minerva and I were working hard on identifying numerous plants we were sent to find that grew around the castle by Professor Mandragora. I noticed a fog come rolling up across the lake. Minerva was looking up at the sky her mouth hung open in amazement. I glanced sideways at her wondering what made her so awestruck but couldn't tear my gaze away from the fog rolling in. Soon there was a shadowy enormous structure emerging from the center of the fog. My jaw dropped as a dramatically eerie ship emerged. It creaked silently and ominous. My mind shifted to a dream like state as I imagined what kind of adventures you could have on such a massive ship. I was shocked out of my state by pressure tearing at my arm, yet I still couldn't take my eyes off the ship.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Minerva's voice fluttered in my ears as my mind acknowledged it was her grip crushing my arm.

"Amazing." I exclaimed staring at the ship assuming that was what she was talking about. My arm was shaking vigorously and the trance with the ship was broken when it had docked.

"Not that old thing." Minerva said pointing at the ship with a disgusted look that she motioned ahead to the sky.

I peered up the sun blinding me as a placed a hand to shield my eyes and realized what Minerva was marveling at. A giant carriage was cutting through the clouds and descending toward us lead by elegant flying horses with a marvelous gold glow to there coats. Pegasus I think I had read about them once, quite rare I believe too. As the carriage neared I could see it was pale blue trimmed in certain places with with gold and elegant oak. It came to land softly in from of the Forbidden Forest. Minerva jumped up and down excitedly as well as rocking on her heels gracefully squealing gaily. I tore my eyes back to the ship to see people flowing out of it like a wave wearing black and crimson red lined robes. I noticed they all had a strong air about them both serious and powerful. i went back into my mind thinking what kind of wizards might be emerging from such a magical ship. My heart beat wildly as my thoughts picked up. I had heard that Durmstrang was an elite all male school with prestigious breeding as Beauxbatons was an all girls school with beautiful girls and just as prestigious.

Minerva let a gasp escape her loudly. I turned on my heels to see girls clad in the same blue as the sky flit gracefully from the carriage toward the school. They walked like they were floating on the clouds the carriage had previously cut through. I notice Minerva was holding a hand over her mouth softly mesmerized by the wave of pale blue floating up to the castle. "There so pretty Albus. Why can't I be so beautiful too?" She scowled at me angrily as I chuckled.

"You even more beautiful." I mentally face smacked myself for what I said as Minerva rocked off her heels to her tiptoes hugging me squealing.

"Do you mean it Albus? Really?"

"I....I...." Her eyes began to fall and her arms slacken. "Of course you are." I hastened to cover my tracks. "Why I bet you'll have all the Durmstrang's Falling for you begging you to the Yule Ball." No matter what I had just said her smile still fell and she let go of me yet her eyes seem to glaze over pondering what I had said.

"Of course I will and I'll make all the Hogwarts boys jealous too." She replied smugly punching me in the arm. "I'll make all the Beauxbatons hide in shame." adding looking back at the now empty carriage.

I smiled hoping I could fixate her on something else. "Well shall we take all our samples to Mandragora?" Minerva seem to shake her head to rid whatever thoughts she was having and smiled at me grabbing my sleeve and hauling me back to the greenhouse. I cast one more look behind at the now empty ship that was creaking happily in the lake now the sun warming its wood as the fog fell away. I could help but wonder and imagine what kind of wizards would await in the castle. A smile playing on my lips as I pictured the black and crimson lined robes and how magnificently alluring they were.

AUTHOR NOTE: I hope you like the introductions of the schools' I know In J.K. Rowlings novels they weren't strictly non coed schools but in the movie they were and I think my story will benefit from keeping them that way I hope that is ok another chapter hopefully up tomorrow
