Sure I'm not strong, but I damn well could be.
So please don't forget me.
If you really gave me the time I can be anything you wanted me to be.
Just let me make you see,
that I might not be strong, but I damn well could be.
Life is hard,
some people don't get dealt the good card.
Still we wonder why someone could pawn off that shard.
That one peice, That was unscarred.
Yet the doors that lead to our hearts are double barred.
We are still always on our guard,
Cuz we are one one too many times jarred.
We still drag ourselves yard by yard,
To what we felt was a lifeguard guard,
But what was really just a graveyard.
A graveyard for our hopes and dreams,
For life has failed us, or so it seems.
Because sometimes it's hard be belive when your pushed to the extremes,
When we work so hard, we burst at the seams.
And the lists of what we gave up on, flows like endless streams, listing all the people that lost the will to try,
Because it's hard to live, when all you look forward to is the day you die.
But don't give up on me, I might not be strong, but I damn well could be. Just give me the time to be what I want to be, just wait and see. I might not be strong, but damn well will be.
