Her
In my village there is brown everywhere, the houses are brown and the streets are always muddy because every week there is downpour, in the winter it's much worse. The only bit of colour is the trees, they are bright green and full of the pureness of nature and have never died.
I live with my mother, my father and my little brother George. It was a nice life, I did the dishes on the washboard and made dinner for the family with my mum. My father works as a blacksmith and is always hungry, so we had a big job to do. My father is a kind man, as is my mother and brother.
I am outside with my brother playing sword fights because I have finished my jobs and was allowed to go outside. We don't have a very big backyard seeing as it is a small village compared to the city centre, but our back yard is as close to the outdoors as we could get. We are playing in the yard when a young man in a cloak walked up to the door...
With a knock I heard someone at the door,
"I'll get that!" my mother yells running to the door. "Hello, how may I help you young sir?"
"Yes, I have just come from the market but sadly there was no milk in stock, I am a client of your husband and I heard that you own a cow. I was wondering I could purchase some milk from you, I have the money."
"Sure, let me just call for my son, he does the milking of Bessy," mum said.
"George!"
"Yes,"George replies
As he turned around I quickly disarmed him.
After that day I keep on seeing the young man. For instance, since the day that he came, mother thought it would be good to sell some of Bessy's milk. So the next day, I went to the farmers market and saw him standing there. All he was doing was standing there, behind a stall for fruit. I looked away and when I looked back he was gone.
It happens every time until one day I get the courage to go and talk to him...
I start to walk in his direction but when he realises he was had been seen he turns around and walks off down a side alley. The chase was on, when he takes a left I take a left and when he takes a right I take a right. Finally, after many turns he takes one fateful left but when I turn the corner I am faced with a dead end at my feet.
"Hey!" I yell
"Where are you, I know you're there, where are you!?"
There was no answer so I walk up to the wall. There was something there and I had a hunch that the young man is still here and is just hiding. I walk along the wall running my hand along it and for a second I thought that time had stopped ticking. There is nothing here but I'm not going to give up just yet. I look around me. There is a tall balcony but there is no way to get up there and the wall is too high to climb, but soon as I am about to erase that from the list of possibilities, he appears.
