And with that he vanished. To be honest, I don't know what I am going to do. On one hand I don't know if I should trust this guy, but on the other hand I think it might be good going with him tomorrow. I decide that I will sleep on it and then head back out to the market to finish the shopping, mother and father might be worried since I have already taken too long.

Walking through the dusty back streets of my village isn't the best nor safest thing to do, but it will let me get home in time, so not to worry my family. As I go deeper into the maze of alleyways the sun fades and the walkways get narrower and narrower and soon I find myself surrounded by a group of men.

One of the men emerges, he was tall and rough-looking. Like his job had something to do with killing or mugging people. My heart missed a beat, why were they here?

"Hello pretty young lass, we were just wondering what you were doing talking to that young fella a while ago at the market"

"Just talking, I saw him at a distance and was curious. Why do you ask?"

"Are you sure?" and with that they all inched closer, one by one

"Yes, Now Leave, Me, Alone!" I say and with that a gust of wind that I do not feel, blows them of their feet. When I see the chance I make a run for it and find myself at my front lawn in mere minutes. Safe is all I think.

I pat myself down even though there's nothing to dust off and then walk into my house trying to forget what just happened. As I say my hello's I make a decision. One that, though I don't know it now, changed the future of this place I call home.

The next day seemed to go very fast. It went so fast that by the time I realised, it was 2 hours until dusk. I had told my family that tonight I was going to stay over at Maria's place, whom I had met while selling the milk at the markets one time's place. They believed me and let me go, so all I had to do now was go, though I couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen. I brush it off and pack what looks like an overnight bag, but really it is a supply bag. Water, food, anything I thought I might need. And then I left.

The tower fiercely looms overhead as I walk closer. Wary as though I was going somewhere lost and forbidden in time. The day's light slowly evaporating in a mix of yellows, pinks, and reds, blending into the night with the Hallenvale tower, piercing the sky. .All I know is that the tower of Hallenvale has resided here for many centuries but no one really knows how it came to be. No one has ever been in the tower, fearing that they might lose their life. I don't believe that but I keep my distance just in case.

Then I see him. I advance ever so slowly seeing as I don't really know him that well. As we meet I feel something in the air, something that I have never felt before. A sense of adventure and danger rushes through me as we start walking towards the tower. The tower doors are big in size but as I try them they don't budge. The strange thing is that when he tries, the doors open with a creak. We ascend into the tower in translucent darkness. The steps are narrow and steep but we made our way up to the top. As we reach the top, the glow of the moon allows me to see our town from a angle I have never seen before.

"Like what you see" The man said, staring not at the view, but at me. I guess he is just looking for my reaction. Speechless, I nodded my head and after a moment I regain my composure and said

"You wanted me here and now I am, so talk"
