Madam Pomfrey was reluctant to let Aoibhe leave the hospital wing, both for fear of her health and her safety. However as Madam Pomfrey soon realised Aoibhe was not as quiet as she seemed, she stubbornly refused to stay in the ward, "Madam Pomfrey, I'm fine, in fact I've never felt better" she exclaimed a wide smile pulling up the corners of her mouth . "Oh fine" Madam Pomfrey threw in her towel first, "but watch that ankle young lady" she shook her head disapprovingly but headed back into her office. Aoibhe didn't realise how huge a problem her ankle was until she began to descend the stairs, her foot was still aching and even though Madam Pomfrey gave her a pain relief draft she could still feel her ankle wobble under her weight as she hobbled down the stairs. She was almost at the bottom of the second last set of steps when she heard a very familiar voice echo around the marble staircase below, "I wonder if she'll be let out, today" Sirius mused and she heard the others gave their own muted and muffled replies. Aoibhe quickly spoke up, "the answer to your question Mr. Black is that yes, she has been released." There was a loud kerfuffle as the four boys flew up the staircase and were met with a giggling but wincing Aoibhe. "Boys" she smiled and took a step down trying to mask her wince as she went. "How are you feeling?" Remus asked as he reached her and she shrugged noncommittally at him. "Much better, my ankle still twinges but other than that I'm fine" she smiled brightly but before she could take another step James hoisted her up onto his back and all Aoibhe could do was gasp. "James I'm much too heavy for you to be carrying me around like this, put me down" she struggled but James just gripped her calves tighter. "Nonsense love, you're light as a feather and besides I'm not going to let you injure yourself more, we'll take it in turns to carry you around" he stated and the others threw in their murmurs of agreement. "I'm not some damsel in distress lads I'm well able of taking care of myself" Aoibhe was refuting their idea on the outside of course but on the inside she was swirling with joy because of how sweet and kind her new friends had turned out to be. The marauders were not boys who often lost arguments and this was no exception, Aoibhe gave up and dropped her head into James shoulder, " fine, fine, but only for the rest of the day alright!" she was slightly miffed but smiled into the crook of James potters neck as they walked down the stairs. "So, what's our next class?" she smiled and the others shook their heads, "lunch wren" Sirius answered and Aoibhe smiled gleefully. They made their way into the hall and were met with odd looks which both Aoibhe and James ignored, before James dropped her gently off at an empty spot on the Gryffindor bench. Aoibhe was quick to grab a ham and cheese sandwich and a slice of bacon, not realising until now how hungry she'd actually been. She scoffed her sandwiches down quickly, and then moved onto a slice of Battenberg to go with a large cup of steaming hot tea. The group chatted animatedly to each other throughout lunch and Aoibhe was delighted that her stint in the hospital hadn't pushed them away or made her appear more breakable. Soon people started to file out of the hall, "fudge" she groaned and the others looked at her in amusement, "fudge" Sirius repeated chuckling and he poked Aoibhe on the nose, "that's fucking adorable wren." "Oh leave me alone Sirius" she grumbled and he just continued to chuckle at the small brunette. "So what's caused your sudden case of potty mouth" Remus smirked at her from across the table and she glared at him, "don't make me come over there" she growled and he had the cheek to laugh at her, "my dear you have a busted ankle I'm pretty sure I could out stroll you easily" he chuckled and Aoibhe chose to ignore the way he called her my dear in favour of being angry at him. "I've no books for our next class so I need to go to the dorms and get them" she stood quickly but stumbled as she put too much weight on her bad ankle, "calm down wren, we've got a free period, there's no rush" James caught her quickly and she exhaled in relief. "Come on then, my turn," Sirius turned his back to Aoibhe and she jumped up and wrapped her arms around his neck as his arms came down to grab her knees. "Are you sure you're alright with carrying me Sirius, I'm sure I can walk" she asked quietly and Sirius gasped loudly, "do you doubt my strength wren" he teased but she shook her head, "honestly wren I'd prefer to carry you than see you hurt yourself" he replied sincerely and she pressed a soft kiss to his cheek in gratitude. "Not that I'm complaining or want you to stop" Sirius started up the stairs, "but what's with you and kissing?" "Well it's probably because I was raised in France, they kiss over everything there" she explained and Sirius nodded, "but it could also be the fact that I'm a very affectionate and cuddly person" she deliberated with a giggle. "Or" Sirius decided he was going to voice his own opinion on the matter, "you just can't get enough of kissing me prongs, moony and wormtail" and Aoibhe broke out into a fit of uncontrollable chuckles, "you know Sirius that might just be it."
