I watched her out the corner of my eyes—saw her drift off into her own world of fantasy, ignoring everyone at the table, including Martinus and I.

I wish she could take us away—take us to the Neverland of her imagination. The heart of all her mind and spirit.

She wasn't there. We both knew she wasn't. Away and gone. Never to be there again truly. She always did this, spaced out and God only knows how much it has pained us.

All we want is to hold and care for her, but every feeling—every step is rejected at the first clash.

Every rejection, every spacing out causes us pain. To hold her... that is the ultimate dream for us—to create a happy life and happy kingdom with children inhabiting the castle walls and for her—for our angel— to be happy and stress-free.

We're never letting go.

Not till the day we die.
