It rained alot where I was from, and today that did not change. The sky was grey and colourless and rain plummeted the roof of my house as I lay, restless. Moonlight danced along my walls, which were littered with doodles and scribbles. Today at school had been strange with all the talk of the Louis boy that I bumped into. I tried to push it out of my mind but he stuck me as something strange, something peculiar. I had never heard of him before, only a few side comments from the girls. I had to find out what the whole commotion was about but now all I could think about was how I was going to fall asleep. It was nearly useless, I have been having trouble falling asleep lately. Or at least since the accident. I grabbed my iPod off my bedside and reached by my discarded socks and received my headphones. Scrolling down my lengthy list of songs I found something to listen to. Sweater Weather began to play, the melancholy beat pounding in my ears. I closed my eyes and prayed for sleep but failed. Hours went by until it was about 4 AM and slipped away into the darkness I called sleep.
" Wake up Des! " I heard my mother yell from downstairs,
I lifted my head and dropped it onto the pillow, moaning loudly.
" God please be a snow
day." I said loudly
" Honey, it's Fall. Anyways you'll be late if you don't get up now!" My mom replied
I rolled out of bed and proceeding to the washroom. My dirty blonde hair was knotted and my grey blue eyes looked tired. I tried my best to brush my hair and freshen up. I then managed to find a pair of tights and grey T-shirt with a dark blue sweater. Running down the stairs with my bag in hand, I fumble putting on my shoes and grab my umbrella from the closet.
" Bye Mom! " I holler at her before leaving
"Bye Des!"
I run out, umbrella ready and walk to school. When I get there I still have some time before classes to start so I head over to my friends, Amy and Cheyenne. Amy's face lightens up when she sees me, Blonde hair bouncing. Cheyenne smiles and spares a wave as she continues to put her unruly dark brown hair in a pony tail.
" Hey Des!" Amy greets warmly
"Hi!" I give a small wave
" So did you hear about Louis?" Cheyenne whispers, her dark brown eyes seem to darken
" Yeah" Amy added " How this guy is like nuts and stuff!?"
" What do you mean?" I inquired
" Well, he was in the middle of gym when all the sudden he said he was another person and punched a guy out!" Cheyenne said, eyes widening
"You're fucking joking." I gasped
" No, shits real. He punched out Dylan, you know Austin's brother?" Amy asked,
" Oh god, that boys done for" I reply, knowing that the two were nothing but trouble
" Excuse me.. " I suddenly heard someone say quietly, I whirled around to be nearly face to face with a guy's chest.
" Oh, h-" I nearly screamed out of surprise
The boy looked at me, eyes dark. Then my heart stopped, I recognized him immediately as Louis.
" Oh hi Louis. Sorry about yest-" I said, anxiously
" My name isn't Louis." He nearly growled.
" Oh, okay."
" Anyways do you know Dylan is?" He asked, a sinister smile across his face
" Um, he's over near the doors." I told him, remembering I saw him there when I came in
" Kay, thanks." He said, his face turning back to aggression, he continued to make his way to the doors.
I stood there frozen.
" Holy fuck." Amy said, " What was that about??"
" Something tells me it's bad." Cheyenne noted as the bell rang
I shook my head, turning towards them.
" See you later!" I ran past them towards my first class. His dark eyes still on my mind.
