Chapter 5

*Katie’s POV*

We were all drunk. Too drunk to know what was happening.  We had eaten most of the food, drunk most of the alcohol and turned to music up way too loud for our neighbours liking, but we didn’t care.  We were all up and dancing, each of us in pairs.  I looked around the room while taking a break and sitting on the couch.  Wynter was dancing with Mitchell, Sky was dancing with Ty, Mitch was dancing with Jerome, Husky with Dakota and Tyler was nowhere to be found.  I grabbed the nearest bottle of alcohol and downed it, hissing as it burned down my throat.  I lay down on the couch, groaning. Yup, I’ve had too much to drink.  I shrugged, deciding to sit up and liven the party up even more, if that was possible.  I jumped up onto the sofa, giggling at myself as I almost fell and I started waving my hand to everyone until they noticed me.

“Guys, guys, guys” I slurred to their impatient faces. “Let’s play truth or dare” I grinned around at everyone until they started nodding along with me. “Wynter...you set it up...I’m going to go find Tyler” I stumbled out the room as they all sat in a circle grinning manically to themselves.

I wandered upstairs, passing Quinn on the way, and stumbled into Tyler, who looked to be on his way back downstairs.

“Oh, hey Katie” He said, grabbing me as I almost fell back down the stairs. “What are you doing?” He asked, not slurring at all.

“You’re not drunk” I slurred, pointing an accusative finger at him.

“Someone needs to keep all of you in check” He winked at me before grabbing my hand and pulling me down stairs and into the lounge where everyone was sat in a circle, chatting and laughing.

“Alright everyone, let’s get this truth or dare down the road!” I yelled in my English tongue and plopped myself into the circle, pulling down Tyler beside me.  I looked round at this laughing group of people, smiling to myself as my eyes wandered past Tyler’s beautiful face.  I noticed I still hadn’t let go of his hand and squeezed it, blushing furiously as he squeezed it back smiling down at me.  I looked up and Wynter was watching me, a knowing look on his face.  I stuck my tongue out at him and giggled as he did the same back.

I grabbed a random bottle from behind me and placed it in the middle of the circle of people.  Jerome clapped his hands in glee and Mitch watched him laughing, knowing Jerome loved this game.  I spun the bottle, grinning when it went on spinning for ages until if finally landed on Husky.

“Yay, Husky!” I clapped as he blushed down at the bottle.

“Truth or dare?” Wynter asked him.

“Erm...truth” He said after much deliberation.  I groaned at how boring he was picking truth.  Go dare or go home, that’s my motto with truth or dare anyway.  I looked around at everyone, as we all thought of a good enough question to ask him.

“Aha!” Mitchell yelled.

“I’m guessing you’ve thought of one?” Sky asked him, eyebrow raised.  Mitchell nodded, looking proud of himself.

“Who in the room would you date?” He asked Husky. Husky began to blush and I saw his eyes dart to Kermit before he answered.

“I don’t want to date you, but Katie because she’s the only girl” He said, still blushing.  I also noticed he kept looking towards Kermit as he said it.  I frowned, wondering why but didn’t question it.

“Right next person!” Ty yelled grabbing the bottle and spinning it.  We all watched it as it span, seeming to go on forever as it span round and round until finally landing on Wynter.  I widened my eyes, hoping to god he would chose that one option.

“Dare” I heard him say and snapped my head up.  He looked at me and knew in an instant what I was going to say.  He started to argue, saying he chose truth instead but I shook my head and said the words he was dreading.

“I dare you to kiss Mitchell”
