"Ruby, this is Blake. Mind if she sits with us?"
"Not at all! I'm Ruby, my table is your... er.... table!"
"I guess cheeriness runs in the family." Blake noted, taking a seat on the wobbly stool. She ran her fingers through her hair, careful to avoid her bow.
"You want another drink? Pick anything you want, even top-row." Yang smiled, seeing Blake's drink was reduced to a few drops in the glass.
"Oh, I don't want you to spend too much on me, maybe just a strawberry sunrise?" Blake suggested, rubbing her chin.
"A woman after my own heart!" Yang yelled, "Ruby, would you get us two of those?"
"Aww Yang, why can't you?"
"I'll give you a cookie."
"I'm on it!"
The stool whined in protest as Ruby pushed it back, making a beeline for the bartender. "Ruby's weakness is cookies. I actually got her to wash my car for cookies, and I'm telling you, the thing was spotless!"
Blake chuckled, the blush on her face persisting, even facing away from the light. Even in the dim, grungy bar lighting, she looked like and angel to Yang, and a blush began to creep on her face as well.
Thirty Minutes Later
The three girls sat around the table, exchanging laughs and stories. Blake had downed three glasses of the liquor while she sat at the table, and her blush dominated her cheeks. Yang's blush mimicked hers, leaving Ruby the only one with a clear face, to which she obviously knew.
"Hey, you know that Schnee Dust Company?" Ruby asked, "How the heiress is gonna take over this week?"
Yang and Blake looked at her with blank stares, unsure of where the conversation would go. Blake looked uneasy about the topic, eyes pointed down to the table. "I'm aware, what about her?"
"Yang and I can't wait, her new policy on Faunus labor is amazing! Tell her about it Yang!" Ruby giggled, sipping her hot chocolate.
"Weiss? Oh, that's right! She's gonna improve Faunus labor conditions tenfold, and give them much better pay! It's about time, too!" Yang sighed, "I swear, Faunus deserve more respect than they get."
"Really? Why do you think that?" Blake looked intrigued, her gaze piercing Yang's eyes. "I agree, I'm just wondering where exactly you stand."
"I mean, why are Faunus even discriminated against? I think they're kinda cute to be honest. The ones with little cat ears are the cutest to me, but I know they're people, not pets. They should have had equal rights since the beginning, but maybe that's just me." Yang rambled, twirling her glass in the air.
As she was talking, Blake began to undo her bow, bit by bit, as if caring for a newborn baby. "Well, then you'll find this pretty awesome." Blake pulled her bow off, revealing two small cat ears atop her head, "Damn, that was beginning to hurt."
"Whoa! You have cat ears? Cool!" Ruby gazed admirably at the ears, the coat on them perfectly matching Blake's hair color. "Yang, do you see this?"
"I thought I was just drunk, but those are cat ears!" Yang laughed, "Man, did I find the most beautiful girl or what?" Yang then jolted, a blush rising quickly on her face. "I mean, what I meant to say was..."
"BLAKE!"
