Old Memories

Chapter 1:Good-Bye

When my dad was alive we would have family fun night on Fridays. When would order pizza,have ice cream and play a lot of of games. That was before he got into a car accident and never came back. That day changed everything. My mom, brothers and I changed. We used to be a family that would tell everything to each other. I remember the day he left.
"Carter, wake up you're going to be late." I heard someone say from the other said of my door.
" Five more minutes."I mumbled
  " You said that five minutes ago. Hurry or we're leaving without you." 
    I wait until I hear the footsteps fade away to open my eyes. When I turn to see what time it is my eyes widen when I realize I only have ten minutes to get ready.
I jump out of my bed and go to my closet looking for something to wear. I quickly go into my bathroom and brush my teeth. I run downstairs and see that no one is home. I run to the window hoping that they didn't leave me. Great! Now I have to walk to school. I walk out the door and start running to school. I get there just as the bell rings. 1st class is Science. I feel like the day if taking forever to end. I'm in my 5th class with my brother Danny

   "Ding! Mrs.Roberts can you send Danny and Carter Gomez to the office ready to leave" Danny and I look at each other as we pack your things. When we get to the office we see our brothers Elliot, Nick, and Ryder.

We all were very confused. The lady at the desk told us to wait a little. After waiting for about five minutes our mom walk in and told us that we were leaving.

"Mom, why are you shaking?"Danny asked. Mom ignored what he said and continued driving. When we finally arrived we all looked out the window and realized we were outside of the hospital.
  "Why are we here?"Nick asked while we walked in. Derek stop mom from walking and asked her why were we here. Her eyes start to water and her she shakes even more than she already was. She takes a deep breath and says "The hospital called me says that your dad got into a really bad car accident and that he might not make it."
I felt like everything stopped. I couldn't believe what I just heard. We all ran into the hospital looking for dad. When we found him and saw how hurt he was mom started sobbing. We all sat in front of his room waiting for him to get better, but that didn't happen. We prayed that he would get better. He never did. We all stayed at the hospital we missed school and mom didn't go to work. We all thought he would be ok. After waiting four days the doctors told us it was his last day we went in one by one. I decided to be the last one to go in.
"Hey dad, you probably can't hear what I'm saying, but I wanted to tell you that I love you and that I'm going to miss you. I wish this never happened."
After finishing what I was saying I was about to walk out when I heard something that broke my heart. The heart monitor stopped.

"Good-Bye Dad. I love you see you soon"
