I pulled the flashlight out of the kitchen drawer and slid the hood of my hoodie up. As I went out the door, I was careful to close it quietly. I found the spot I had been earlier today, and noticed the woods not far off. I padded through the soft leaf carpet that littered the forest and continued on my way. There appeared to be a small deerpath that would be perfect for me.

As I trudged over the next hill, I saw an old dilapidated shack, the moon glinting off of its few remaining windows. One side of the house had been burned away. My heart began to run like a scared rabbit and I felt terror clutch at my chest as I stepped onto the weather worn avocado carpet. I felt a sense of deja vu and knew I was in the right place.

On the back wall, a large wooden door loomed. I looked around for the key, finding it on the ground where I had left it. My blood rushed through my ears as I turned the cold iron key in the rusty lock. The door took a moment to open, seeing as the hinges had rusted. I gave it one more push, and the door swung open.
