Up There (Hinata x Reader)

°Chapter 6°

"She's about your height, Hinata." Sugawara said looking toward the three.

"WAAAH! And she's a professional too! I wish I was at that level." Hinata whined.

"As soon as you learn to receive properly and grow a foot maybe you will." Tsukishima snickered on the other side of the group.

"You wanna fight me?" He growled back.

While this went on you were talking with Daichi, Hina and Ukai and your team was having their own conversations about the boys.

"Oh are you going to watch the any of the games?" Hina asked the two boys.

"We're going to watch them as a team and I managed to get tickets to the men and womens finals," Ukai scratched his neck.

You hummed, "hopefully you'll see us play in person."

"H-hi, my name's Hinata Shoyo. It's n-nice to meet you Senpai!"  The red head yelled as he bowed behind you.

"Senpai?" You turned to look at the still bowing teen, "I don't think I'm your Senpai, Hinata was it? If anything you're probably older than me."

Hinata lifted his head to look at your snickering figure. Standing to his full hight he noticed that you were actually eye level with him.

"(L/N) (Y/N), nice to meet you. And I'm 16. Not 20."

He stared at you as if you were some sort of movie star, well that's what you thought as you laughed at his shocked face. In his mind the only things that he could think of was about how talented you must be to be at such a level.

Could she stop Ushiwaka's spikes?

After a minute you started to get worried, the boy who seemed energetic not long ago was completely frozen.

"Um, are you okay?" You waved your hand in front of his face only to get no reaction.

"Oi, dumbass, don't stare at a girl like that you'll creep her out," a voice called from behind you.

You turned your head, missing Hinata's distorted face as he yelled at the tall male you were now looking at.

"Shut up, Kageyama!"

You swung your legs off your bed and threw on some jogging shorts and a shirt.

You woke up Don, who had her hair sprawled on her pillow, and grabbed your running shoes.

"Come on, early morning run! Let's go!"

Sarah yelled from the room next you yours.

"Quiet down! It's five in the morning!"

The group of 13 girls ran around Tokyo for a total of two hours, taking shorts breaks now and then.

"Three days, three days till we die." Sarah spoke softly beside you.

The ones that were in Sarah's three metre radius turned their heads to see their captain laying on the concrete next to the wooden bench face first in the ground.

"Hey, at least we have the opening ceremony, it's like one giant party."

The comment from one of your teamates instantly brought Sarah out of her funk and into a child like state.

"Ah! Do we get candy?!"

"No."

Every one started laughing at Sarah's slight stupidity.

Groaning, she got off the ground, "Ok guys we need to start running agai-"

"(L/N)-san?"

Turning your body around, you saw the orange haired boy a few steps away from you.

"Hinata, why are you here?"

The boy shuffled in place for a moment before answering shyly.

"We were warming up for our next game and I, uh, kinda, sorta, maybe ran ahead of everyone and got lost," he trailed of at the end as his cheeks became a peachy colour.

The sight of the young boy blushing and scratching the nape of his neck made some of the older woman internally squeal, including you.

Laughing, you walked up beside Hinata and wrapped your arm over the boys shoulders, "Do you wanna run with us? We can take a detour to where your team is."

He looked at you out of the corner of his eye and nodded, his cheeks still full of colour.

Hinata's face was red throughout the whole run, he was practically glowing. So as you'd expect, as soon as he saw the doors, behind which his teammates stood, he ran as is his life depended on it.

"Bye, see you," the last words he spoke were quick and rushed before he ran off.

The jog back was just as silent as the run there until Don snuck up behind you and gave you a punch on the shoulder.

"You're killing that kid, all his blood flow toward his head," she laughed her ponytail bouncing.

"What do you mean?"

Don had a look of surprise and was about to speak, but,

"SHE'S SAYING YOU'RE GIVING HIM A BONER!"

Everyone slowed down, you were frozen in place, and Sarah was being beaten up by the vice captain Karen.

"WHAT?!"
