"Please win this game."

"I will, for you."

Take a moment.

Or longer, whichever you choose.

Are you done?

Oh.

Well, imagine this,

A girl stands on the grand stage, lights shining down on her. People clap and cheer.

Pretty right?

Beads of sweat role down her arms and the colour of her skin becomes tinted red. Her stomach churns and her body shakes.

Her family is in the audience, her friends are watching, the world is watching. She can feel every eye on her.

One burns into her skin more than the others.

Out in the many seats, a boy sits among his friends. His hands shake and his mind wanders. He stares at the girl he hadn't spoken to for the last couple days. His eyes never fell away from her.

The girls arms were tired and sore. But it was her last chance to succeed. Last chance to win. Last chance to take home the medal for her home.

She wanted to stop, drop from her high podium and fall to the bottom. To have a break from chaos. To just stop.

So she did, even for a moment.

The ball whizzed passed a head of (H/C) hair, landing on the outside of the painted box on the floor.

Her eyes wide, she turned her head to look out into the standings. Trying to find those eyes that were burning her skin.

Once their eyes met, she sucked in a breath making sure to calm her heart rate. Throwing a nod to the boy, she looked back at the mesh in front of her and smiled.

He wanted to climb of the podium. Catch the girl he cared so much for and push her back up. Hopefully she would wait there for him, because he knew she wasn't coming down.

So he did, even for a moment.

Their eyes met. His eyes widened and heart rate increased, temperature rises in his body making him sweat slightly.

She looked away and he smiled.

The was received by the setter, making them incapable of touching it again. Bumped into the air by the ace, meaning they couldn't spike for the win. Everyone thought it was hopeless.

Eyes quickly began to stare at to small figure run forward. Her last step ending before the attack line.

She was in the air, for what seemed like the first time ever. Her last bit of energy had pushed her higher than expected.

She jumped for the one she cared for most.

She could almost feel the wind blow through her hair.

Her arm pulled back as far as she could manage. And with the remaining bit of power left, she swung her arm hitting the ball over the white line.

She landed on her side and clutched her arm.

The whistle blew.

A loud smack echoed through the stadium. The spectators stared in shock at what the little form laying on the ground was able to do.

"(Y/N)!!"

The loud cheer came out like a scream and it caused an uproar.

"AAAAAHHH!"

Hinata breathed deeply after yelling and ran down the steps to the end of the viewing area.

He stood among cameras and security who wouldn't let them through.

He stared and the girl who was being crowded by her team and coaches.

"Call the ambulance!"

Hinata heard Will tell and tried to pry securities arms open.

"Hey! Let the boy through, he's with us!" Jen yelled in his direction.

The men in uniform loosened their grip and let Hinata pass through.

He ran to her.

She may be up there where she belonged.

But he wasn't going to stop following her.

"(Y/N)!!!"

~~~
"Shoyo?"
"Hmm?"
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why did you run? Why did you run on the court?"
Hinata laughed slightly and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Well, if you can't slow down for me I might as well run harder to get to you right?"
He dropped his and on yours, the one that was covered in a white cast.
"Well, in that case I think you've already caught up."
"Really?"
"Almost. Almost."
~~~

(Y/N) stood on the large podium with her team. The (C) national anthem played and your team sang the words to the song.

(Y/N) held the golden medal with her non-injured arm, and smiled brightly.

~~

Hinata sat on his couch at home ah he re-watched the closing ceremony to the Japan Olympics. After (Y/N) got her medal, they tried to spend as much time as they could together before (Y/N) left for (C).

But eventually it had to come to an end. And (Y/N) along with all the other Olympians had to leave and go home.

"I'm going to miss you."

"You've known me for two weeks. You can't miss me that much."

"Yes I can. And I will."

Hinata wrapped his arms around the girl tightly.

"Ok, I'll miss you too Shoyo. You'll text me, right?"

"Of course."

"Good."

Still holding each other tightly, the moment was ended by a soccer/football player calling.

"Hey, (Y/N). As much as the sight is sweet. You and your boyfriend are delaying the flight, and I want my airplane food."

"Chris, shut up they're having a moment."

Giving one last squeeze they pulled away from the hug and (Y/N) picked up her carry on.

"I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too."

"You'll see your boyfriend again, I promise."

"He's not my boyfriend, Chris."

Now isn't that something you can imagine?
