King Darius

Chapter One

Amethyst POV::

Although I was alone I had an eerie feeling of being followed and watched. I shook off the feeling as I made my way to the local bookstore. As I entered the bizarre feeling had made itself disappear. I was well known at the library so as soon as I entered no surprise the librarian, Mrs. Robinson, called to me. " Hello Amethyst. Finished with the book already?"

"Yes , ma'am."  I sat the book on the desk and went over to the local history section. I believe the local history fascinates me the most. I moved here due to my mothers separation with my father. So we are in a small town in Washington. Being from New York and the age of 17 I had a hard time adjusting. Books was my comfort zone in the mix of things. I go through and pick the book about the werewolf king. It's a legend about the werewolf king of course I don't believe in it. I just like the thought of the werewolf king never aging because he hasn't found his mate. I go to the desk and check out two books, " The Tale of Two Cities, and of course The legend of Darius Blackwood".

I start school tomorrow that's why I had to get The Tale of Two Cities. This is my final year which makes my life so much easier. As I've been lost in thought Mrs. Robinson is expecting me to answer a question she has asked. "Ma'am?" I ask.
She ask again," Would you like that book you check it nearly every time you check out?" I then realize she is holding the book about the werewolf king. "I would love it, but doesn't that take away the only copy the library has?" I say.

"Yes but no one reads it, love. You just take it like a good luck present from me on your first day to school."
I nodded my head and smiled slightly. "Thank you."
As i was leaving something shiny caught my eye and i looked and it was this old looking bookmark with a string on it and a wolf howling to the moon on it. I gradded it looking around i saw no one around i put in my new book headed home.

I walked in the door greeted by semi packed boxes. Only being here for a month an a alf the library is my escape since i had no friends when i left and i have no friends here i feel like it's going to be fairly easy to just blend in if no one notices my eyes. I'm 5'9 with long black hair and you would guess right amethyst colored eyes. I found my mom in the kitchen unpacking more thing for the kitchen.
"Hey mom. What have you been doing?" I said smiling at her it's been tough since she caught dad with another women. "Oh sweetie you scared me I'm just unpacking I found a job today." she said as she continues to unpack. I smiled as I turned to go to my room she looked busy I walked in my black and red color room I plop down on my desk and began reading The legend of Darius Blackwood.

I feel tree branches hit my sides and legs I trip and scream as I feel it coming closer.
His coming I feel it I feel him near me as I start to run again. Im suddenly knocked to the ground. I scream as I look up to see....

I joult back to life I pant as i realize it was just a nightmare. I look over at the clock and see it's 3:47 am I walk to the bathroom to take a shower I have to be up in 3 hours and I need to shower after that nightmare. Stripping down I slid in the shower feeling the hot water take away the bad dream. I slipped in my pajamas and slipped under the cover fell fast asleep.

I was woken up by my alarm blaring in my ear I slammed my hand down on it. I sat up and started walking to my closet and pick my out fit which is a white tank top, black skinny jeans, army green jacket and my combat boots. I ran my fingers through my midnight black hair and grabbed my bag. I ran down the stairs and noticed mom sleeping on the couch I quietly shut the door as I hopped in my 2009 honda accord coupe named Connie. I drive for 40 minutes and make it there early I parked in the very back corner near the woods so not to be seen.

I make my way to the doors and as I walk in I am greeted by a lady that looks to be in her 80's her name is Mrs. Clarke. "You must be the new student Amethyst White. Im Mrs. Clarke and I have your schedule and a map of the school I highlighted all of your classes for you." she says with a smile. I take it and nod and tell her thank you as I walk out the door I make my way to my homeroom so I'm not late. I found my locker of course it was on the other side of the school as my homeroom I have to run and finally get there in plenty of time to sit in the back corner. The students spill in as i look down i'm totally not even noticed and i breathe a sigh of relief.

The teacher is calling names as i am picking the navy blue paint on my nails. I hear "Brittany Young" and a blond girl with her tits hanging out saying here in a nasally voice. "Oh looks like we have a new student named Amethyst White. Is Amethyst here?" i look up and raise my hand as i hold my breath. "Well come up here and introduce yourself." I make my way to the front and i look at everyone's face "Im Amethyst White and Im from New York. I moved here not too long ago." i go back to my seat and grab my bag as i make my way to my first class.

I finally make it to lunch and I find my way outside i pull out my pb and j and the werewolf king book from my bag. I sit with my back against the tree away from this crowd of girls over their phones laughing. I get to the chapter where Darius is looking for his mate. I notice a block of the sun and look up to see this really gorgeous girl she sits in front of me and smiles "Hi my name is Blair. You are Amethyst right?"
"Y-yeah." i stutter i don't talk to many people. I look down at my other half of my pb and j and offer it to her and she takes it smiling at me i look at my book and she notice it.
"If it helps you i believe that legend." she says picking up my book and flipping through the pages.
"So what's your next class? " Blair ask as she hands me the book.
"I have History then Math." i say look at my combat boots.
"Thats awesome. I have those classes you can sit with me." she smiles and says with excitement.

The bell rings and i stand with Blair she is around 5'5 with long blond hair she is wearing blue and black glasses hiding her forest green eyes and she has thick figure i notice she has her bottom lip pierced with snake bites and tongue as she walks away i see a dolphin tattoo on her shoulder. I follow her to history class i happen to bump into this solid figure i fall to the ground and strong hands pick me up. I look up to see a guy around 6'4 with black hair with silver eyes he has tan flawless skin i notice his tattoo sleeve and his snake bites his messy hair hangs over his eyes a little . He smiles "Hi my names Aiden. Im Blair's best friend. You going to history with us?"
"yeah " i said as i followed him looking down i look up to see Aiden look down at Blair with love in his eyes..

I think they are more than just friends. I stay quiet as i sit next to Blair with her in the middle of Aiden and i. Just when the skank walks in and smacking her gum. Brittany turns around to flirt with Aiden but the teacher start the lecture and we start the lesson.

Math rolls around and we ended up having a project in history class i was assigned partners with Blair and Aiden. We are meeting at Blair's house after so we can get started on the project. I sit and we have 4 minutes left in class and i already finished the homework so i sat there and started to draw. I drew a tree that i have seen in my dreams. The bell rings and i rush out to my car slamming into Brittany "Watch where you are going freak!!!!!" she scream and i get up and run to my car i sit waiting on Blair and Aiden. I see her car and she tells me to follow her.

We made it to this Mansion as i got out i looked at it and was amazed i followed them inside and i found out this was Blair's house her parents passed away two years ago and her brother Stone lives with her since she is 18 in 2 weeks she takes care of him. We head to her room and there is where we started on playing 20 questions.

"Where did you get your eye color?" asked Blair
"My dad has brown and my mom has green so i don't know" i reply

"Are you and Aiden more than friends?" i asked
Aiden blushes and Blair giggles making Him frown a little. "No we are best friends."

Why did you move here?" Aiden asked
"Parents separated my dad has a new wife and daughter" i said
"Woah i'm sorry i asked" Aiden tried to make things better we stopped the game and i ended up doing only a little on the project.

It was 8:40 when i got home so i went to take a shower i received a group message from Blair and Aiden. Just them telling me how happy they are to have met me. Its funny cause i've never had friends before i fell asleep with a smile on my face..
