Happily Ever After?

**Kirstie POV**
I'm about to call my mom to tell her the big news and I'm really nervous.

Her and Scott didn't leave off on such great terms the last time they saw each other.

I'm hoping she can see how he's changed and be happy for us regardless of what he's done in the past.

When I told her I was pregnant with Rose she was so excited for us and would always joke about wanting Scott to marry me.

I think she has a different opinion of him nowadays.

"I'm gonna go call my mom. I'll be right back." I say to Scott.

He nods and continues to play with Rose.

"Hellos, sweetie." My mom says through the phone.

"Hi, mom." I say.

"What can I do for you?" She asks.

"Well, I've got some news to tell you and I want nothing but your support." I say.

"I'll always support you, sweetie. Now what do you have to tell me?" She says.

"Scott and I are back together. He went through rehab and got help through all the stuff he was doing. And now I'm pregnant again....with his baby." I explain to my mom.

There was a long pause before she spoke up.

"I'm happy for you, sweetie! And I'm glad Scott got the help he needed. When are you guys coming to Texas?" She asks.

"Tomorrow I have a show in Texas." I say.

"Good. I need to talk to you two in person." She says.

"Okay, but you're happy for us, right?" I ask.

"Of course! Congratulations to you two and little Rose. I have to go now I'll see you guys tomorrow." My mom says before she hangs up the phone.

**Scott POV**
When Kirstie got back in the room, she had a confused yet relieved look on her face.

"Everything okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, but I don't know." She says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Well, my mom said she was happy for us and then she sounded upset all at that same time. And she wants to talk to us tomorrow when we get there." Kirstie says.

"Well, let's talk to her. See what she has to say. It can't be that bad." I say trying to calm Kirstie down.

She nods and then heads to go get ready for the concert of the tour.

I know me and Kirstie's mom didn't really get along the last time she was here, but I'm willing to show that it's different this time.

I'm going to step up and be the best father I can be to Rose and boyfriend to Kirstie.
