"Boo!" The little girl jumped in surprise. "Ha! Found you!" He replied to her yelp with a giggle before running off. She followed close behind him, giggling, laughing. Everything was in slow motion, everything was soft, warm. This was bliss.
The trees around them were tall and kind. The sun was inviting like a mothers voice. But the sounds of innocent souls filling the air is what they would never forget. For this was a safe place. This was there safe place. They sat in there tree house, chalk in hand, and drawings covering the walls. "What's that one?" Her finger ran over a distorted face on the wall smudging it lightly. He leaned over and with the red chalk he fixed the mistake quickly. "He's my friend...I think..I don't know but we play together sometimes.." he admired his work as she looked over at him with slight jealousy. "oh? What do you guys play?"
He shrugged while looking through the assorted colors. "I don't know...I tried to play legos with him but he kept breaking them...a-and he popped my basketball...and I tried to tell my dad but he didn't believe me..." She looked confused. "Well he doesn't sound very nice...why are you friends with him if he's such a meany?"He shrugged once more before grabbing a white stick of chalk. "I don't know....why are you asking so many questions..." she went to speak but stayed quiet.
He started to label the stick figures on the wall, Dad was written over a man with a angry expression. Mommy was written over a blonde smiling woman with wings and Tyler was placed over a sad boy standing next to a happy girl. And right behind Tyler was a dark figured distorted man."Is that me?" She asked as he wrote (Y/n) over the smiling girl. He admired the drawing and nodded. She smiled gently before picking up a pink piece of chalk. She smudged out the frown and tear on the crying boy. "Hey don't mess-" He stopped in his sentence and watched as she drew a smile across his face. "Look...now you can be happy..just like me..."
