Chapter 9

- Madison Carter-

"Here I have the blankets Finnie!" I say and throw them on the floor. "Is Nollie here yet?" Finnie says, falling down in the pillow. and blankets. "No.. He would be here half an hour ago." I sigh. "Shall we start together?" I try to smile.

He must have had a call or so and now doing something else. Maybe he did go to Mary? I haven't heard him once about her. Strange. Maybe he went partying, drinking and stuff.

"Yes." He says. As soon as I pick up a blanket the doorbell rings. "I'm going. Wait here okay?" I say to Finn as I stand to my feet.

I open the door. "Niall. Late again!" I say through my teeth. "I'm sorry! I know! But.." I cut him off. "No excuses! You would be here at seven!" I say keeping my voice low. "But!" Niall tries. "No.." But he cuts me off by placing his hand on my mouth. "I'm late because I needed to pick some things up. Things you need for a blanket house." He smiles. "Really?" I say through his hand but you can still hear the surprise, and he nods. "Please help me?" He smiles bright. I raise my shoulders.

"You can't stay mad at me." He grins and I know it's true. "I owe you something.." I sigh as I follow him to his car. "What do you want?" He chuckles. "I don't know.." I sigh. "A hug?" He grins. "Oh stop it!" I chuckle. "I know you want it. I know you want it you're a good girl!" Niall starts to sing and dance with his arms open. "Okay." I say and run into his arms. I hug him. Tighter and tighter till he feels what I'm doing because he lifts me up making me squeal. "Niall!" I squeal, trying to escape and wildly kick around. He places me at the back of his truck. And starts to tickle.

"Stop! Stop!" I laugh. "Finnie is alone!" I say through the laughter and he stops. "Okay let's go." Niall says and picks my hand to help climbing out of the car.

As soon as Niall walks in the room Finn squeals. "Nollie!" He calls and bumps into Niall's Christmas lights and pillows. I drag a load of more blankets. "And I brought a movie." Niall smiles giving a blue-ray to Finn. "Mega mind!" Finn excitingly screams making me laugh.

"Just smile Madison!" I laugh. She's hiding her face in her hands. "Smile Di!" Finn chuckles with my phone in his hands. "No!" She squeals as I wrap my arms around her shoulders to remove her hands.

"Okay! Just one!" She finally gives in. "Yay!" I laugh putting my hands in the air. "3, 2, 1. Smile!" Finn says completely concentrated on the phone. *Click!*

We put the Megamind blue-ray on. And Finn just doesn't get it. "Why is he blue? And his head this big?" Finn asks me as he sits on my lap. "He comes from a planet far far away. Planet bluesmore all people are blue but his head is so big because he knows everything." I tell him. Maddi clearly didn't expect my answer but smiles bright.

I don't get a reaction and look down at him. He fell asleep. "Maddi." I whisper. "Yea? Wait. What did you just call me?" She asks smiling. "Maddi. Your brother fell asleep." I say stroking his head. "Oh I'll take him to bed." She says and raises the little kid.

"Goodnight Finnie." I hear her say as I walk through the hall. This is Madison's room. I open the door and walk in. "Wow." I gasp. "Why are you in my room?" Madison asks clearly not happy. "I-I.." I stutter. "Never mind." She sighs. "But let's go down." She says and closes the door.

"Isn't it strange?" I ask. "What? That they're about forty and still live at their mums and dad's house? Yes that's weird." Madison says keeping her attention to the tv. We're watching Step brothers. What apparently the fave movie of us both is. "No I mean look at us. We only met Wednesday day and since then we haven't gone anywhere apart." I chuckle. "Yes that is kinda weird." Madison laughs. "It feels like you've been my best friend for ages." I smile. "Yes tho. I feel the same. It feels like you know me even better that some of my friends." She smiles turning her attention to me.

"Do you know what I do with friends?" I grin. Madison shakes her head and raises her shoulders. "I hit them with a pillow!" I laugh as I hit her with a pillow to the ground. She raises her eyebrow. "You know what I do with friends." She grins. I shake my head still laughing. Before I know it she sits on my stomach and hits me with a pillow.

Madison falls next to me on the couch again and rests her head on my shoulder. "Are we still friends?" She chuckles. "Yes Carter." I say wrapping my arms around her.

As soon as the film ends I haven't heard from Madison for a while. I raise her head. Oh she fell asleep.. I stand up and raise her of the couch. I carefully drag her to her room. Luckily she already wore her pajamas. I softly place her in bed and tuck Madison deep and warm under her blanket. Next to her bed I place a quick note for if she wakes tomorrow. "Goodnight Madison." I whisper as I walk away.
