"There's something I'm curious about."

"Go ahead."

"What happened last night? I don't remember drinking that much but apparently it was enough to make me forget about a few things."

The mood loosens immediatly as Jisung laughs. "That's what you wanna know? And I thought you were going to ask something serious."

"Hey, it is serious! What if I got drugged again?"

He shakes his head, still looking amused. "No, this time you only had one or two drinks too much for your alcohol tolerance. If someone had put you on drugs you would've fallen asleep earlier."

I look at him in shock. "I fell asleep at the party?!"

Again laughter. "No, in my arms." What? "You were fine when we left the party up until we arrived at your house. Then you almost kissed the ground. I carried you inside and you fell asleep right then." Holy Lord. "That was quite a task like ... I had to get the key out of your purse without letting you fall. Are these things always this hard to open?" He sounded a little upset and my shock was replaced by amusement.

"Some, yes. That way it's harder for thieves to get their fingers into it while passing by."

He raises one brow. "They could just steal the whole thing."

"Someone's experienced, I see" I giggle.

He rolls his eyes at me. "No, that's not on my record."

"So, you admit you have a record." I feel bad for thinking so, but I kind of expected that already.

"You don't? Oh sorry ... I forgot who I was talking to. Excuse me, princess."

He doesn't look offended at all. He just smirks the way he always does. This time it's on me to roll my eyes at him. "Having a record is nothing to brag about."

"No, it's not" he then admits. "Wasn't even my fault. That fu*ker started the fight."

"Yeah, sure, 'that fu*ker' probably says the same about you."

He shrugs. "Possible. Couldn't care less." I see the small smirk on his face widening and scoff.

"What are you two talking about?" my sister interrupts before I can reply. She sticks her head through the door frame and enters as soon as we look at her, placing herself on my lap.

"Get off, Kelsey, you're heavy!"

"Are you implying I'm fat?" she asks jokingly and pouts.

"No, I'm just too fragile" I reply and can't help but laugh. "And now get up."

"Don't believe her. That little princess has been acting up lately."

I snort at Jisung, still amused. "I learned from the best."

My sister turns her head so only I can see her expression. She's smirking and giving me a knowing look. I roll my eyes at her. I know exactly what she's thinking.

She's wrong, though. I don't have any interest of that sort in Jisung. We're opposites and he lives in a completely different world. I get along with him better now, and I think it's a good thing. Sure he isn't the best person to by influenced by and I should really stop having blackouts during night outs but in general he's right: I have been acting up lately, but not in a bad way. More like ... I got more outgoing? Something like that. But my dear sister should really get that idea out of her head that there might be something more between us. That guy just has his ways to sneak into my life when I close my eyes for a second. Or get drunk.

Kelsey suddenly jumps up. "Anyway! Are you two up for some ice cream? That's the reason I disturbed you in the first place."

"Ice cream? Sure why not?" Jisung nods agreeing. All eyes are on me now.

I think about it for a second, then sigh. "Do I even have a choice?"

Jisung raises his brow. "Of cour-"

"Actually, no" Kelsey interrupts him with a wide grin and drags me off of the chair. "Let's go!"

I just roll my eyes. Behind me I hear Jisung laughing while I get dragged down the stairs by my sister.

"Bye Mom, bye Dad! We're gon' get us some ice cream!" she yells and suddenly lets go off my hand without a warning. Since I had leaned in a little, I immediately lose my balance and stumble.

Somehow, don't ask me when and how, Jisung is next to me on the stairs and keeps me from falling. His one hand is on my upper arm and the other one around my waist, holding onto my hip.

"Thanks" I say breathlessly and immediatly regret looking at him because he's super close. While the fall itself went super quick, the seconds he's holding onto me feel like minutes.

"No problem" he says while he slowly lets go of me, still staring into my eyes. I can't help but think that his voice sounds more like a husky whisper.

Holy shit. I really need some ice cream to cool down right now.
