Zach's POV -

As I gathered wood for tonight, I watched her dance around the field. I smiled and picked up more wood putting it in a pile in the center of the area. I turned around "Hey, you hungry?" I asked her. "Uhh..Yeah I could eat." She nodded. .We haven't eaten for a few hours and I gotta make sure that she's not starving every now again. It makes me wonder how such a beautiful creature like her got stuck in this situation. Her hair is turning into feathers, she's growing them. I don't think she'll get a beak but she's like a bird, graceful. I picked up a bow and arrow out from the bag I was carrying and told her I'd be back. I'm not sure if she's even had any kind of animal meat before. As I crept into the forest I looked around for any animal I could find. I heard branches breaking up ahead and I looked. It was a fat deer eating lunch! Perfect! I drew my arrow back and positioned the bow to where I could hit it. As I let go, the deer looked up and yelled falling over as the arrow struck him. I heard a yell from behind me as well, I'm pretty sure it was Annaliese.

I walked out of the grassy forest and called out "Annaliese!?" I looked around and she wasn't in sight. I called her name again, "C'mon this isn't funny!" I heard a rustle from a bush and ran over to it, "Hey??" I pulled the branches away and she was sitting there, hands over her head. I grabbed her hand and pulled her out, leaves in her hair. "What were you hiding from?" I asked. "I heard a scream!" She said looking around "It was...unsettling." I chuckled at her. "Darling that was just a deer." I said to her trying to calm her down. "Well...Okay?" She said. She hesitated to walk back but she did and sat down next to the wood waiting for me. That was close, she could of got caught or something. Heck, that scream could have meant anything! I pull the deer out from the forest and toss it to the side. I began to get all the meats we would need.

Annalise's POV

As he was getting food I could see that his hands were covered in blood. I guess the deer was no match for him. He got a pan out from his bag and put it on the perfectly aligned wood. He threw the meat on and began cooking his food. After the food was cooked and we ate the sun was already setting. I could almost see the stars coming out. I grabbed his wrist and ran to an open hill. I tripped and accidently pushed him over both of us laughing on the ground. I rolled over and watched the sunset with him. I didn't feel alone. It was almost dark when I got up, I looked down at her feet sheepishly. Zach sat up as I walked away looking for a pond or something to rest by. After a little bit I found a beautiful place. It had flowers and vines growing everywhere. Most of them were roses. There was a bench right in front of the pond. I stood in front of the pond looking down into it. I could the the reflection for stars and fireflies in the water when I noticed something...Something was glowing below the pond's murky surface.

I began to reach down into the ponds water, not knowing what lied ahead of me. "Annalise!" I heard Zach call from behind me. "There you are- woah this place is so pretty." I drew my hand back from the water and turned around. "Yeah! I just found it randomly. I think it's really cool and it's not to far away from our camp site!" He reached his hand out and caught a firefly and told me to come here. I walked over to him and watched as he opened his hand. The little bug still glowing and flashing it's light. It crawled to the tip of his finger and flew off and he smiled as he watched it go. I was amused by these tiny little bugs.

Zach and I talked for hours but something he told me felt off. He was telling me about how he was suppose to assassinate me but instead let me live after watching me plead for my life. It gave me a feeling in my stomach that I shouldn't be there, I was telling myself that it was okay and that this is my home now but I still just felt sick about the whole situation. Eventually we got up and we walked over to our camping spot and rested, waiting for tomorrow to come. I was just hoping I could forget about this before it's on my mind forever.

??? POV -

He slowly walked into the forest, it was dark but the moon was the only thing giving him light. He came across a field of grass two people lying down. A hybrid and a human. This was a great thing. "We've finally found you Annaliese." A man said ordering other scientists to come pick her up. They Picked up her body as she dozed off. She didn't know where she was going or what was happening. All she knew was that she was still with Zach.
