Sans' pov:

I woke up the next morning, not feeling Grillbys heat next to me, which got me worried.

Where was he..?

"Grillby? Where are you?"

There was no response.

At this point I had gotten out of bed. And started walking around the house looking for him.

He wasn't here.

This had especially confused me, because his coat, and shoes were still at the from door. Something wasn't right.

That's when I noticed the note.

It ha all been spelt out in wingding a but, here's a rough translation of it.

Dear Sans,

Let's be honest with ourselves here. You knew this was coming. You knew this would happen. You knew all of this would happen. You know why Sans? It's because, well, one. You messed with the timeline! You had never been with Grillby before, and such a drastic change in emotion in the timelines, well, they get unstable. And second. I can't have that happen. I can't have the timelines losing itself in an emotional bond like this. So. Here we are. I took Grillby.

To be fair, I'll give you. One clue.

"Baby bonez"

I didn't understand at all. An emotional bond like me and Grillby could destroy the timelines? How?

Second; what was that clue...? Baby bonez? You've got to be kidding me...

I was done. I ripped the paper, tens.... Hundreds.... Thousands of pieces had be strewn across the floor by the time I was done. I was a crying mess.

And I couldn't tell anyone about it either. Because that would break the timeline too...

***

I hadn't moved from the spot on the floor all day. I was trying to figure it out. What baby bonez meant.

I could only think of one reasonable answer. The labs. In the basement. Where he use to experiment on us.

"Come one baby bonez, it won't hurt"

What a lie...

It seemed too obvious though. As if he knew that's where I'd go. Why would he kidnap someone, and then hide in a remotely known area? It doesn't make sense.

Unless he wanted me to go there.

Which would mean it's a trap. He'd kill me as soon as I walked in.

This was going to be a lot trickier than I had first thought . . .

***

I had put my coat on, and walked out the front door. I was going to save Grillby.

It had taken me a while, but I had finally reached mount EBOTT.

Now or never.

Walking through the underground, it gave me chills. Now because it was scary. But because it was so quite. So dead . . .
