Nothing.

Nothing happened. I took Grillby back . . . everyone was safe . . . nothing happened . . .

I didn't understand.

He didn't want the timeline to break from such a powerful emotional bond, so powerful in fact that I broke the laws of physics, to talk to Grillby in a comma.

But when I took him back he didn't do anything. He didn't hunt us down. He didn't even begin to look from what I could tell.

Which made me think, what did he have planned?

Whatever it was, it wasn't good. I didn't know if I could stop him. Didn't know if I could do anything at all.

I was sitting on my floor, petting my new cat. Trying to think of a way around it all.

"Sans . . . "

I looked up to see Grillby. I tried to open my mouth to respond to him but, I ended up yawning instead.

"Sans . . . You're exhausted. Come here."

I got up off the floor, which I had made my new workspace, and Grillby picked me up.

"I don't think we've been on a date in a while . . . Wanna go out tonight?"

I looked at him with a confused expression, was he serious? I chuckled to myself but didn't break eye contact.

"For one, it's not safe out there Grillby, he could be looking for us. Two, I'm a complete mess. I can't even stand on my own, I'm going back to my lazy ways. You're going to have to carry me everywhere."

He smiled, then shrugged as if it didn't bother him.

"Fine with me, I I'm carrying you then that means if I leave, you'll have to jump off and walk back. So we're going out."

I sighed but didn't argue with him, I wasn't going to lie to him, I really did need this. I just wanted to make sure he was safe . . .

"And off we go" he stated and walked out the door with me still on his back giggling along with him.

I felt like this book had finally gone back to being about us and our lives again.

Which got me thinking . . .

"Hey Grillby, do you remember how we met?" I said over his shoulder, which put a smile on his face.

"How could I forget . . . ? Even if we were just kids, I still remember the entire thing. How you bought papy a lemonade from my stand, told a silly pun, and made me laugh. Still one of my greatest memories."

I smiled as I heard him talking about it, it always seemed so much better when he said it, the way he literally lights up at the memory . . . Sometimes he's just too cute.

"So, where are we even going Grilz?"

"On an adventure!"

He's literally a child. I guess wasn't any better myself.

While he was walking, I noticed a park. It wasn't a park for children to play at, more like a field of walk ways, for people to walk around and enjoy the forest and stuff.

it reminded me of Snowden.

"Let's go there for a bit Grilz" I said, pointing to the park.

"Sure, we got time." He replied with a smile, changing his course towards the park.

I didn't care that people were watching us, looking at us as if we were dangerous to their children, or if we were the living embodiments of their campfire stories. I was with Grillby. I was happy.

I hadn't felt like this for a while, since we had moved out of the house in hot lands actually. That was when things got hectic, everything was just . . . Wrong.

This made me forget though, he made me forget.

After a while of walking around the park (he put me down by this point) and just talking we sat down on a bench.

"So . . . Do you know the date for papy and mettatons wedding . . . ?" Grillby asked, looking at me curiously.

"I don't know, sometime in the summer. Mettaton got other people to plan the wedding for them, so it'll be before us . . . "

He kinda just nodded, and then had another curious look on his face.

"If Metatton is a robot how will they-"

"Stop! No! Do not! I don't know and I don't care! Do not give me those images!"

At that moment a kid walked up to us, a little brown haird, and blue eyed skinny boy, maybe 7 or 8.

"My friends dared me to touch you both" he said, and then looked back at a group kids around his age and gave a small thumbs up.

I looked around and spotted a few parents watching us wearily, as if I would snap his neck at any moment.

"Well kiddo, I'll do you on better, I'll let you put your hand in my eye socket if you want" I said, giving him a wink.

"Wow, really? That's so cool!" He exclaimed, eagerly putting his hand in my eyes socket.
"That's so weird!" He said with a giggle.

Through the entire time Grillby hadn't made a sound, and was just sitting there, fettling with something.

"Whatcha doing there Grillby?" I said, which made the kid look over at him as well.

"This" he said, holding up a small red stone like object.

"What's that?" The kid said.

"It's a fire stone, it doesn't do much. But if you're ever in danger of fire, then just put this in your pocket or something, it'll save you."

The kid smiled, and jumped eagerly as he took it in his hands.

"It's not even hot . . . ! Can I keep it?"

Grillby nodded, and the kid screeches in excitement and ran off to show his friends.

"Thank you misters . . .!"

We smiled and waved, and when I looked back at the parents, they weren't giving me death stares anymore, but more so stares that said "thanks for not murdering our children".

"I want a kid."

I had been so out of thought that I didn't realize what Grillby had said for a few seconds.

"What . . .?"

"I said I want a kid. I know, we can't really make one ourselves . . . We're both guys, but, maybe we could adopt a child?"

I looked at Grillby bewildered at what he was saying.

"Dude, you think we're ready for a kid? I'm too lazy too get up before noon and you work until 8pm. I don't know Grilz . . . Maybe after we get married . . . ?"

He gave me an understanding smile and nodded, I smiled back, and leaned on his shoulder.

"I love you so much Grillby . . . "

"I love you too Sans"

After we got back from our night out, let's just say there was a new viral video of a kid shoving his hand into a skeletons face and taking a random stone from a fire elemental.
