A Life We Call Normal

Chapter 3

I saw Sean and decided to confront him I called his name he turned around. I started walking towards him.
"What?" He asked rather calmly
"I wanted to ask about the other day, you didn't answer" nervousness was evident in my voice.
"Um... walk with me?" He asked
"Yea sure" I replied
We started walking along side the football ground he saw his friends and handed over his bag to one of them and we started walking again
"Listen Samantha I'm sorry I can't do this" he said just like that
I was speechless I didn't know what to say
"I'm sorry you are a nice girl but I don't see you in that way" he said
I was still shocked but still nodded then I herd the honking of our bus
"I think your bus is here, can you wait for while?" He asked
But I already knew what he wanted to say he was just gonna show me some sympathy and solicitude but I know he won't mean it so simply I replied
"No I can't I gotta go"
"Ok then bye" he said
"Bye"
And then I left and took the bus and went home.

*At home*
"I'm really sleepy mom I'm gonna go sleep please do not disturb me" I said hoping she'll be convinced although I wasn't sleepy at all I just wanted to cry and so that's what I did cried a lot and I didn't even know when I fell asleep. I woke up with someone knocking on my door
"Yes?" I asked and dad appeared in the doorway carrying a box of pizza I smiled at the sight of my dad, I loved my dad more than anything else, he always knew when something's wrong but he never pry that's what I love the most, he just comforts me.

"Pizza delivery mam" my dad said, I giggled
"Yea come in" I said
We both started laughing and started eating our pizza it was delicious, then dad started telling me stories about his childhood I always enjoyed his stories they're somewhat adventurous nd interesting. After some time my dad left and again I started thinking about today, how awkward it is going to be or will it be normal. I got up and headed towards the bathroom, when i looked myself in the mirror I looked like a huge mess my hair was all over the place, my eyes were red with dark circles around.
I took a bath and changed into a pair of sweat pants and a tee a I looked at the clock and I was shocked it was 9:15 already!! I slept the whole day. I went downstairs to find my mom and dad were watching t.v without bothering them I drank a glass of water and went to sleep.

~Next Morning~

*ring ring*
I was already awake so I declined the call I got ready for school and went downstairs mom gave me a plate of scrambled eggs I ate and went to take the buss.

~At School~

I entered the building and went straight to the assembly I put my bag on one of the benches near the ground nd stoodin the line. After the assembly my friends tried to talk to me but I didn't feel like talking so I told them that I'll meet them in lunch I went to class and when I was about to enter I bumped into someone and it was Sean he looked at me but looked away quickly and took his seat. Was this how it's going to be from now on...
"Hey" said Zoe with concern in her voice
"Hey" i said rather dull
"I'm sorry" she said
"It's ok it's not your fault" i said because i can't really blame her she only wanted to see me happy
"It is if I never told him-" she started but I cut her off
"Leave it I don't wanna talk about it" i said calmly and took my seat.
The classes went by in a blurr and it was lunch Zoe took me to the cafeteria but I said I don't wanna eat but she bought the food anyway and we sat on a table she was just glaring at me not even touching her food
"What?" I asked
"If you're not gonna eat then neither will I" she said
"Stop being so stubborn" I said
"Wow look whose talking" she said as she rolled her eyes
"Fine, I'll eat" I gave up finally
After lunch we attended a couple of classes and went home.

Days passed by I was getting better with time. And I realised that what has happened is acceptable and for good so I moved on.

It's been 3 weeks since I last talked to Sean and I some what got used to it.

And also I was doing a lot of basketball practice lately with my team and the boys team and we've bonded with the boys team pretty well of course except Andrew and I, we still pass annoying comments on each other and the others just laugh at us.
Also I've came to know that Shane is the most considerate and well mannered one from them and Jaden is a fun guy always up for a good time.

I already had dinner and completing my homework.
After I did my homework and went to sleep.

~Next Day

I woke up all by myself and made myself a glass of orange juice and toast. Mom was still asleep instead of waking her up I went school.

I saw Zoe she was walking towards me
"Heyy, wassup?" She asked
"I'm good now stop asking that question daily it annoys me" I told her annoyed.

Like literally she asks me this question daily even though she knows how boring my life is and how much this question of her's annoy me.

"You know I love to annoy you" she said grinning

"Well, if you didn't stop you might as well kiss your life goodbye" I told her

"Nah you love me" she replied still grinning

"Whatever" and we left for class.

~Basketball Practice~

"Give me the goddamn ball" I was yelling at Trish

Trish really pisses me off she acts like she's the only one who knows how to play when in reality she only makes us loose by this attitude of hers, worst part is she doesn't even try to change it.

We all decided that we won't give the ball to Trish and that's what we did.
And now it's Trish who was yelling but no one gave her the ball.

And guess what we scored!!!

Now the ball was in Blake's hand everyone was defending their mens then Shane started running and he's a really fast runner, Blake passed the ball to Shane and he started dribbling towards their basket and I went to his defence cuz literally no one even tried to defend him except everyone was watching us and for a moment it felt like a movie scene and also that we're playing one on one. I regained my focus and as Shane was about to basket I tapped on the ball and passed it to Britney and she scored I jumped in excitement then I felt Shane staring so I looked down

"That was really good" he said

"What?" I asked completely clueless,

"Your defence and rebound" he replied

"Oh, thanks I guess I was lucky" I said    sheepishly,

"Or maybe I was" he winked at me and left

Wtf was that, I thought to myself

And as the boys took the ball the bell rang and guess what?

We won!!!!

We all were so proud except Tris was rolling her eyes at us

Haha take that b!+ch!!!

Then the boys came to us saying we played well except Andrew he was still like 'we just let you win this time' what an egomaniac

"Hey" I heard Shane call me he was standing at a distance from all of us so I went towards him

"Yeah?" I asked him

"You guys were really good today, keep up and you can win the championship game" he said,

"Thanks I really appreciate it" I told him

"Then maybe we can defend each other in the next game as well" he winked at me and left,

Againnn! What's wrong with this guy he used to be so sincere what happened now?

Is Shane Martin different from what I thought he is? Or he's just joking around? Guess I'll have to find out...
