Willow was having a normal morning. She got up at the crack of dawn, washed up, changed, got her schoolbooks, and checked that the book was still in it's hiding spot, under a floorboard that was hidden under her desk. "The book" was the ancient book of the Magi. It was the only remaining copy outside the castle. It was the only one because the books were outlawed after the great fire. Willow had found this one in a pile of books to be burned, and swiped it before they could. She knew more about the castle and Magi than anyone alive. One day, she longed to go and explore the castle. No one else dared to. All of this went through her head as she walked through the door to the school building. She went to her classroom, and dropped her stuff at her desk. The rest of class came, coming in pairs and trios. At last, Mrs. Johnson started the boring lesson. As she listened, Willow leaned back and stared out the window. And there, outside the window, three faces stared back. Willow blinked, shaking her head as she did so. When she looked again, the faces were gone. But she was sure she had seen someone. "Mrs. Johnson", she called, raising her hand, "I need to use the restroom." Mrs. Johnson nodded to her, and she left the room, heading towards the schoolyard. Willow entered the schoolyard, and looked around. There was a tree, the flagpole, some bushes, and a bench. There was a concrete path going through. Willow looked up into the tree, and climbed it. Nothing. She heard a rustle, and whirled around towards the bushes. She climbed down, and walked towards them. "I know you're there", she said. Nothing happened. "There's no point denying it, I saw you." Slowly, a tall boy stood up. "Ah hah!", Willow said. "I was just ...", said Robin. He couldn't think of an excuse. But Willow gasped. "Your a Magi!". "What?", asked Robin. "Dont worry, I won't tell. How have you survived?". Sighing, Robin said, "We-". But he got no further. "We? We?", asked Willow. Lucas and Brook stood up. Robin said "Yes, we. Do you want to hear our story, or not?" "Right, sorry. Continue." "We were very young on the day of the fire. We were taken to the barn and we escaped the law. We've been doing this for years," Robin explained, gesturing to the window. "How did you get to the schoolyard?", asked Willow. "Watch." Lucas, after a look from Robin, scrambled up the wall, and dropped down the rope. Robin and Brook climbed up. "Bye", called Brook, and they climbed down. Willow ran to the nurse's office, and said, in her best miserable voice, "I'm feeling sick. I'd better go home." The nurse said, "Go, go. I'll tell your teacher". Willow ran out to the wall where the Magi had disappeared, but the three children were gone.
