An explosion goes off to the right of me, but I didn't even stop to look. Ringing filled my ears. The screams of neighbors grew louder and louder as more people were hit by scraps of exploded metal. A searing pain spreads throughout my side. Slowly spiraling down my leg until it's completely numb. Adrenaline coursing through my veins, my feet kept going. People called out names looking for their friends or loved ones in the time of panic.

The only sounds heard was the pounding of my heart and the ringing in my ears. Everything was a blur. Screaming and crying was a faint sound in the distance. Nothing seemed more important than finding Kenna. She had to be somewhere. Somewhere close.

The quick running soon slows to a stop right in front of Kenna.

A deep wound on her stomach showed through a large rip on her once beautiful dress. Her eyes showed great pain and sadness. Her hair stuck against her forehead in sweaty clumps. Her chest slowly rose to give off a small hint that she was breathing.

   I gasp, "Kenna! W-what happened?"

She slowly looks back up at me her face contorted in an expression of pure pain.

"D-don't do any-anything you re-regret......please," Kenna gasped through long pauses of breathing.

Her breathing slowed. Her chest stopped moving. Her eyes slowly closed.

She was gone.
